Eric Kohleriter, MD

I am writing about my primary care physician Eric S. Kohleriter M. D at Bay Valley Med Group in Hayward, CA. He has been my doctor for over 10 years now through thick and thin. My health has gone up and down and I have never had another physician take as much time to figure out what my illness was than he has. I am never rushed. He spends as much time as it takes to discuss, with me what I am suffering with and how to treat it. It shows how much he cares about his patients with the way he treats them. I always leave totally understand what we discussed about the illness and treatment. He always listens to what I have to say and how I am feeling. His PA Rochell is wonderful as well. I feel that Bay Valley is a great place to go for medical services. I have never had any other Doc there so I don’t know about them. I go for my appointment and don’t have to wait long, EVERYONE there treats me with great kindness. I recommend Bay Valley to everyone. When I need to be seen in a pinch for an emergency the after hours care there is wonderful. When I need to see Dr. Kohleriter that day for an illness, I always get in that day. I am a proud patient and very happy with their medical service. I would give them more than 5 stars if I could. Sandy Araujo

He is a high energy, no-​nonsense, cut-​to-​the-​chase kind of guy. He can be intimidating, and downright scary. First time I saw him, he made me cry. Mind you, I was very sick at the time so I wasn’t in the best frame of mind. He is also very busy, so he hurries through visits like a chicken with his head cut off… but the good thing is that he still manages to do enough, and listen enough to make a decent diagnosis and treatment plan. Only 4 stars because, while I think he is a competent doctor, his bedside manner is kind of in your face, and that can be really hard to swallow when you’re not feeling well. There is a lot of room for improvement. But I’ll say that out of all the docs I’ve seen at Bay Valley, where he works, he has been the most thorough and compassionate.
