I had the Bento box for lunch today. Very generous portions of the 2 items I selected, salmon teriyaki, and chicken Kara-age. Like several of the other posters have mentioned, the food was on the bland side, couldn’t taste the teriyaki or curry. Good service and value.

I ate here some time in summer 2015, and was very disappointed with the ramen. The ramen seriously lacked flavor. I don’t quite remember what I ordered, but the person I was with ordered a ramen bowl different from mine, and they were both lackluster. I won’t go back again. 2 stars because I’ve had worse, and the food was edible.

The actual restaurant is nice and clean but the service was just ok. Polite but not too attentive. The food is my issue. I ordered the veggie tempura roll and Spicy Wings. The roll was just ok… nothing gross but nothing tasty either. The wings were pale in color, had no flavor and were overcooked in some party and under-cooked in others. My friend ordered a bento box which did not come in a bento box? I want to say it was a weird experience.

I love the owners !!! They really are great in giving you when you want. As for the food it never did me wrong. I love coming here when it’s lunch time it’s only 7bucks for a full bento !!! The servings are quite large. When it comes to the ramen I get the spicy garlic tokatsu. I think it’s a pretty good place to eat when you want bang for you buck and good service.

This place is great! The foods taste delicious and at a decent price. The service was good and our server was attentive of our needs. The walls are bare with a TV next to the bar. Be sure to know that if you order a soda, it comes in a can. There selection of foods is plentiful and of good quality. This place would be nice for a date or a small group. I’m glad I found this place and plan on returning to enjoy with other people.

My boyfriend and I decided to give this place a try since it was near and we didn’t want to drive far. Haha Ramen is located on a busy Downtown Hayward street. It took us awhile to find parking, but we found parking. We got in and got seated right away. We placed our order and it took us about 10 minutes to get the first sushi roll(Golden Roll), 15 minutes to get our ramen and 20 minutes for the(spicy hamachi roll). They weren’t even busy! The Sushi rolls were okay, not great. There was so much sushi rice in each roll which made the rolls look big. The ramen was okay, wasn’t the greatest, we had better ramen.

Located in the heart of downtown Hayward. Easily visible as you drive pass through the Hayward loop towards Castro Valley. Not much street parking but right across from here is the Hayward Century theatre parking garage. We arrived here for our FriDate late evening. We walked in and it was not quite busy at all. Maybe just two or three other parties of two within the venue at the time. Seated right away in front of the large flat screen TV with the Lakers game on. Inside nothing extravagant or fancy; simple, clean and functional dining area. Their menu offers sushi rolls, ramen, sashimi, and skewers; a little bit of everything Japanese. I ordered a spicy tuna hand roll which was pretty generous compared to most sushi places. I also ordered a 4 piece sashimi plate which also comes with a bowl of miso soup. The quality of the fish 4 – 4.5÷5. One of my pet peeves when it comes to sushi is that it had better be fresh! Its RAW! Their fish was fresh, clean, and like some places I didn’t get a stringy-like membrane in the flesh. The pieces were also VERY generously sliced. My boyfriend ordered the pork belly ramen and the Golden Roll which is pretty much a deep fried California roll. He enjoyed both and oozed at the pork belly. All in all. I’d come back. Very easy. Very local and convenient, good to decent quality Japanese food. The service was good, attentive. I was not disappointed.

The water is served in very nice glasses. The place is a bit small but very well furnished. Food is really good! The ramen is hella good! I can’t remember what I got but it was very flavorful and a little spicy, but not overwhelmingly spicy. It had fried chicken in it, I think beef, half a hard boiled egg and more that I can’t remember. The fried California roll was hella good!!! Most of the rolls and ramen are priced nicely. You get what you pay. My friend got a $ 5 sushi roll and it was smaller but some that were priced a dollar or two more were obviously bigger. You can easily get two rolls of sushi for maybe $ 15 which is nice! Service was good. We didn’t get our water right away like I’m used to at sushi places so that’s weird and we didn’t get snap peas. I’d come again forsure!

Tasty ramen and at reasonable price. I’ve been such on a Ramen high, and not what a better place to satisfy this craving then at one of the close-to-home Ramen spots– Haha Ramen Sushi. Located on the busy streets of Mission Boulevard in Hayward, CA– one can find Haha Ramen Restaurant. Offering sushi, terriyaki dishes, and traditional Japanese-American Dishes– Haha Ramen Restaurant probably and with all puns intended: brings the customer’s attention to it’s namesake, the R A M E N. Long behold, I ordered my go-to Ramen: the Tokatsu Flavored. The bowl was savory with about 3 – 4 pieces of Chashu(pork slices) and my favorite: the soft-boiled egg. Overall, Haha Ramen provides a sufficient Ramen spot with decent prices and above average customer service. If you ever find yourself in Hayward, give this spot a try!

I came here because I was craving Ramen with a friend and we both didn’t like it. It was also the closest spot near my school in Hayward. I think we finished our food only because we were hungry for lunch. I’ve been to many ramen spots so maybe that’s why I have such high standards. Ordered: spicy garlic tonkatsu. The spice wasn’t tasted until you reached the bottom of your bowl. The noodles needed to be cooked more because they were hard, as well as the meat being dry. Like is that possible with it being soaked in soup? Anyways, the soup base was bland too. The ambience is okay, small location, with street parking. Wish the waiter checked up on us more, because we wanted more water and it seemed like they were no where to be found. Overall, I wouldn’t be coming back here for ramen, sushi? hrms, not sure if i’d give it a try.

I REALLYLOVE their ramens! I highly recommend the Seafood, the Pork Belly, or the Shoyu! I have had them all and they are amazing. The noodles are just right and the broth is nice and light. the place gets packed as well. I see a lot of locals there and I can say that is a great sign. I will plan to go back again. Had some of the sushi rolls as well. TheLion King, the Downtown and the Spicy Hamachi are all yummy. The stuffed mushrooms are okay. Not a real wow factor, but they are fried just right and are nice and juicy. Check it out!

I usually don’t like ramen because the broth is too salty with no other flavors, the toppings are minimal, portion size is small and the $ 10+ per bowl and still feeling hungry. This place changed my view and I really like the ramen offered here. I got the Spicy Garlic Miso $ 7.95 with the added on $ 4.00 Godzilla roll. The broth had the punch from the spiciness but I could still taste the garlic and Miso underlying flavors. The value and portion is already a plus. Definitely a lot of toppings versus other places. For rolls, my party got the 49 ers(ok if you want something light and refreshing), Red Dragon Roll(good balance of fried and freshness) and the Crazy Spider Roll(LITTLETOOSPICYANDTOODEEPFRIED). All the rolls were similar priced as other places but portion size is generous. Overall, Japanese is expensive but this place is affordable and you can leave here feeling satisfied. Please note service is a little slow so definitely not for people on the go but there is a big screen to enjoy the sport games.

Extreamly poor customer service!!! Very rude hostess/waiter. He is of course an asian guy, bit older. He didn’t acknoeledge or greet, didn’t seat me, seated people who came after me. I mentioned that he was rude! He refused to accept and argued. Then i ordered after he pushed to see if i would order. I seated myself! He didn’t even ask me if i would like a glass of water or tea but rather i had to ask for it. I will NOTRECOMMENDTHISPLACE. BESIDES, i will never return! Ruined my evening and my interest go try out a new place.

Ok, so this isn’t the greatest ramen ever — but sometimes, you just need that quick ramen fix without having to drive too far or spending $ 15 for hot soup. Haha Ramen Sushi is that place for us – it’s a short drive, great for a quick meal before the movies, and the one place where everybody has a go-to order. They have a big menu with sushi, ramen, bento boxes and Japanese appetizers. The kids were satisfied, and the portions were just right. So yes, we’ll be back.

Solid restaurant, good find in Hayward! Parking is a bit rough, but, once you find the street parking, you’re good! They have a variety of items on their menu with an in house sushi bar and full menu. Went here for ramen, had the spicy miso ramen. The broth was rich, savory and delicious… piping hot with a deep savory miso flavor with a hot chili kick, yum. There is bamboo, seaweed, mushrooms and egg in the ramen. The egg was a bit over cooked, wanted the yoke runny, it was a bit set. But the service was nice, wait staff attentive and I will be back to check out the sushi!

I was expecting Ramen to be the theme but their sushi was actually the star of the show. We ordered three different ramen. The soup tasted it was spiked with an extra dose of flavor enhancer. The noodles was good but the roast pork is not denture friendly. You do get a very big bowl filled with noodles and meat(some places serve them in a big bow filled with soup and cheap with the noodles and sliced pork). I did like their egg though. The yolk had a nice ooze when you bite into it. We tried their spicy tuna handroll and this was one of the best I ever tasted. In fact, it’s a meal in itself. Staff was friendly and made sure our hot tea was filled. I most likely will be back but not for their ramen.

I’m all about the broth when it comes to ramen, and this place was aaaaaaight(you have to read that just as I spelled it or it won’t work). Not very memorable, but edible. Have you ever had meat that you’ve cooked and left in the freezer for a little too long? That’s what the charsui tasted like. And the egg didn’t quite have that ooey-gooey yolk like I’m accustomed to when having ramen. The noodles are the thick and chewy kind which is right up my alley, though. Giant plus for that. Anywhoos, I’m not bashing the spot; it’s just that my ramen expectations are pretty high since it’s one of my favorite foods. Call me a noodle snob. Because I am. My pictures look dope, though, huh? Food foto skillz on fleek. *Sunglasses emoji.*

The sushi is fairly good, not super or great. The downside is that all their rolls are SUPER stuffed with food — to the point where you need to eat it in 3 – 4 bites. Sushi shouldn’t be like that. The portions are good, but simple rolls shouldn’t be overstuffed. Otherwise, the service is great, the food is good, and I’m happy with the place. The tables could use a good wipe down, but what else is new.

Service: good Haha sushi roll(house special): it was yummy! Tasted refreshing. If you love cream cheese. This is a roll to get ! 4⁄5 Spicy garlic tonkotsu: it was good! Egg and noodles were on point. The broth was good but it was lacking a slight kick. Idk what but it was just missing something. The meat was okay. Kinda dry. 4⁄5 Kaarage: it was okay. If they changed the batter or how they fry it, then it will taste a lot better !!! The crunch was too crunchy in a bad way. It’s the outside n beginning bite that was slacking. The meat itself inside was very juicy! 3⁄5 Tamago: it was decent. It was too sweet or too much alcohol?. I’m not quite sure but it just tasted different 3.5÷5

After reading reviews, I had pretty low expectations coming here. I came anyway because it was a rainy day and this is the only ramen place in town. But damn I was fairly impressed! I got the spicy garlic tonkatsu ramen and absolutely loved it. The soup base was delicious and full of flavor. Even my boyfriend commented on how quickly I drank my soup. They definitely don’t skimp out at all on ingredients. Many times I go to ramen places, finish my bowl, and say, «that’s it??» I couldn’t finish my noodles! There was a perfect amount of pork meat, ground meat, black fungus, and bamboo. For another $ 3 – 4 you can get a sushi roll. What a steal! We got the Godzilla. It says it comes with 6 pieces, but ours came with 8! I was definitely too full… I only ate one piece. The sushi didn’t wow me but I’m down to try their other rolls. Our server seemed pretty indifferent the whole time, but he got the job done. I would definitely come back. Skip the long lines at hyped up ramen places!(Note: I am no ramen connoisseur; Flavorful soup and plentiful ingredients in my ramen is all I need to be happy)
