Made an Appt quick, lowest price offered, took it in next day, out & done within 1hr. Waited at the deli down the street. Peace of mind. Thank you.

I commute from San Jose to Hayward almost everyday, and one day my car decides to crap out on me, I honestly didnt know where to go. I looked on Unilocal and decided to take my car to Harts because it was the closest to me. At first I knew I had to pay a pretty penny just to get my car repaired and I did not really know what to expect.
Walking into Hart’s, I was greeted by a worker and I explained to him that my clutch pedal did not want to go up and that I had to force the pedal up myself while driving. Pretty dangerous I know. He told me that my clutch master cylinder had gone bad and the slave as well. I needed the car to get to school and back home the same day. Oh boy did they make that happen for me. Within a couple of hours I made it to school… late. BUT my car works fine now!
I was quite fearful to see the cost of the repair, but it wasnt as bad at all!

My friend had been going to this business for years and hadn’t had a problem. Last month he had a lot of repairs done on his car and within three weeks something they had «fixed» blew out. When he called to let them know that he had to stop at a service station near him, they said nothing about sending a tow truck to get his car because it was under warranty, instead, they let him get it repaired with the idea that they would reimburse him. When he went back to Hart’s to get repaid for the work he had already paid them for once, they were all ready to do so, but then the manager said he could have a store credit instead of a refund.
He sent a letter certified to try to rectify the situation and they refused it! Not only will he never go there again, I will continue to spread the word about their horrible customer service. Not a good way to do business. Give us your money, but we will only give you a store credit if we screw up!!!

so theres this place called hart’s automotive, my friend suggested this place for me and my car. it was located in an industrial area, so traffic or cars are basically non-​existent but it wasn’t hard to find. Plenty of parking as well. So i walk into the shop a little small, but of course it is a automotive shop. There was a lot of noise in garage area, but noticed that there were all the workers working. in my eyes seems to be good service knowing that they aren’t just kicking back and taking their sweet old time, but hard at work. Seemed like they showed a lot of «hart» about customer service. Anyways im not that into cars and ask the mechanic at the time i have no clue what was wrong. This guy named mark helped me out very understanding and made me feel comfortable with leaving my sexii love aka my car in good hands. So i left and an hour or so later a guy named darryl or however u spell his name calls me and explains what was wrong with my car, in shock that they even got to see my car within an hour when seeing all the workers in the back working on other cars. But he sincerely explained what was wrong and what they were going to do with it and said they are going to need a day to fix this major problem. i was in no rush i had another car back at home. So the next day they called me and said everything is all good. i go to the shop and talk to darryl since mark wasnt there he had left a little earlier. But he knew what was up with my car, he explained that there car was blah blah blah basically automotive talk somethings i dont really understand, but they took care of my car and saved me some money because other places charge a tad bit more, and i was grateful that some money was being saved especially during these hard times for me. My car felt great, and i have to say harts automotive is where its at. good service, nice employees and very knowledgeable with cars, and what got me is the fact that they cared to save me a bit of money. Now thats good service. I recommend this place for future car break downs or if u dont know whats going on.

I randomly stumbled upon this place browsing Unilocal.I wanted to go somewhere close to home and affordable for my oil change. This place is located in the cuts, all the way down Winton towards the industrial area but it’s on a corner so it was super easy to find. When I walked into the shop, I was immediately greeted by Mark. I told him that I just needed an oil change and he immediately gave me a quote for $ 25.00. (YES, $ 25!) They even inspect the car to ensure there are no other issues. What a bargain! While I waited, Daryl, a fellow staff member of his had some light conversation with me and told me that the wait wouldn’t be too long (which it wasn’t considering the fact that I hate waiting). After only sitting there for 45 minutes, before I knew it, my car was done and I was all ready to get going. Workers were so nice here, definitely will be coming back for future car maintenance related issues.

Everyone at Hart’s does their job right. As a woman it can be slightly daunting going to get my car fixed. Everytime I’ve been there, they’ve explained in detail what was going on with my car and exactly how they were going to fix it. Sometimes they’ll even show me the part after it’s been removed etc. They even offer to pick you up or drop you off if you don’t have a ride. My mom has been going there for years also. They’re all genuine people who enjoy what they do. Bottom line, I always feel taken care of and confident in their work. Hart’s Rocks!
