Hutch’s Self-Serve Car Wash

Went at 9am to get some trash out of my car and the attendant came up to my car as I was leaving and said that I can’t throw away «house trash» bc it will fill his cans and he has to change them. It wasn’t «house trash», it was maybe 5 bags of fast food trash from my car and a cup. Do your job! Don’t be lazy and don’t come up to girls cars yelling, some women carry pepper spray.

This is the only self serve car wash that’s close to where I live and I have to say it gets the job done. It’s not the best but it’ll do. It has a vacuum station which is convenient only problem is you do have to move your car if someone behind you wants so wash their car. I try not no use the brush they have because other customers most likely dropped it on the floor and it might scratch your paint.

since moving in the area this has been my go to place to do a car wash. i like it here… all of the hoses work and its a bargain. i havent used the vacuums here tho. but if u just need a quick car wash… why not?

Most of the folks who’ve left reviews before me are pretty on point.
My major pet peeve with this place is the fact the vacuum station is directly in front of the port to wash your car. So, if you’re coming here just to vacuum, you may have to move your car to let someone else wash their car. I guess the owners logic, was people would vacuum their car before they wash it, smh. Most carwashes have a section just for vacuuming, so yoh can take your time without being rushed.
& presoak pressure was pretty weak compared to soak and rinse cycle.

what is up with all the bad reviews?!?
They have a coin machine that still works because I have been using it with no problem.
All their brushes seems to be working fine along with the high pressure hoses
$ 2 for every 4 minutes.
I use this place almost every week, it’s a bargain than paying over $ 7 for a basic wash.

Epic fail! After Hutch’s on A St. advised $ 8 car wash was weekends only I headed over here.
#1– The stalls do not give change
#2– The change machine was out of service
#3– After going across the street and making an unnecessary purchase to get change and putting in my $ 2:
a) The foaming brush with soap did not activate
b) The hi-​pressure water hose barely dribbled
Graffiti in the stall was icing on the cake.
Never again!

I’m agreement with the rest of the folks who’ve reviewed this location. By looking at the previous reviews I decided to take a chance since there hasn’t been an updated review in 1.5 years. With that said I wasn’t expecting much. All I wanted was a quick wash down and vacuuming the interior of my daily driver.
Let me say this most of the equipment had not been maintained. The vacuum cleaner had been ghetto rigged using duct tape. By no means did this help retain the suction power. I probably been better using my own vacuum cleaner. Next the foaming soap brush had a leak on the hose. I needed to put my hand on the hose to keep the soap from leaking.
Note to management. Keep your equipment in maintaining order. If all the bays are in working order I wouldn’t mind revisiting again.

This place is extremely unreliable. The coin dispensers hardly ever work to where you have to go across the street to Rite Aid to get quarters. Then when you use your quarters the stalls never work. I’ve given them the benefit of doubt and tried them three times, and I get the same results above. I will never return, nor my friends.

Although the place is painted nicely, the washing equipment is NOT maintained in working order. There are settings in several bays that are not labelled and only about 3 do anything at all! None of them will spray soapy water for a soak/​prerinse. The soap brush barely dispenses anything so by the time one gets the car soaped, it is dried-​on on the other side and won’t rinse completely off.
I recommend everyone washes their vehicles somewhere else!

Went back for the 4^th time, put in two quarters and nothing happened.
And no one was around. Ripoff.
