The ONLY honey we consume is this local honey. Living in Hayward and having allergies is not fun; Joe’s honey really helps my family cope with their allergies. The family business is awesome. They have gone out of their way to let me pick up honey when I have run out. The prices are reasonable for such a quality product. So pure and yummy… My cousin is in the honey business in another state and I know my honey. Once at the Alameda county fair I tried the random honey samples. Guess which honey I picked out as the best?

Who knew Hayward had their own local honey as most I’ve seen came from Berkeley, Oakland or sold as Bay Area… Since i had been complaining about my allergies, my sister picked me up some from Joe’s Honey located at the Hayward Farmer’s Market… delicious honey and need to make it a habit of taking some each day to alleviate my allergy symptoms… will report back if it helps with my congestion and itchy eyes! :) And thanks Leonela V. for additional info

Found this honey at the Hayward Farmer’s Market. My two little boys love the littlest honey bears they offer for only $ 2 – we bought 2. Delicious local honey! I had questions about pollen and they were wonderfully helpful! VERY reasonable prices, warm, friendly folks!

I saw them at the Hayward Farmer’s Market and the nice man gave me a free sample and asked me if I spoke Spanish :) I still haven’t bought anything from them but I will as soon as my last batch of so-cal honey runs out!

As an allergy sufferer, I take honey daily to cope with seasonal issues. I had been purchasing honey from the healthfood store in Castro Valley. Most of their honey is from far away with the exception of one local brand which is based in Fremont. This year when we went to the Alameda County Fair, we found a booth manned by the friendliest young men hawking their bee keeping Grand-dad’s honey. I was happy to learn that the bees and their hives are in the part of Hayward that is near to my home and that many of the bees that had been pollinating my flowers and fruit trees over the years, were likely from the family hives. I purchased some of their honey and a small portion of honeycomb(chewing it is similar to chewing the wax syrup bottles during childhood.) It’s been a week since I switched to their product and I can tell you that, not only is their honey delicious, but it has made a big difference in my allergy problems and I’ve been able to cut way back on OTC meds. I’m not sure if I can buy directly from their W. Winton St. location, but the grandsons did tell me that the family has a stand at the Hayward Farmer’s Market every weekend. Looks like I’ll be going to Hayward on a regular basis, because I’m hooked on Joe’s Honey. Plus, his delightful family members are very knowledgeable and fun to talk to… great salesmen pushing a great product!

Tasty honey from local fields at a very reasonable price. Joe has a display of beehive which is interesting to kids and adults.

Joe’s Honey is a family business, and they sell at the Hayward Farmer’s Market. The whole family is that sort of calm, happy, kind, capable people that Beekeepers need to be. All their honey is so local that you can point to the fields it was gathered from. This means that your body can use this honey to help get over your allergies! That certainly worked for us: a spoonful in morning coffee and my husband’s sniffles went away in one week. Did you know that honeycomb is made from honey — when there’s no more room for honey storage, the bees make honeycomb instead? I had no idea, but Joe told me in his sweet way. Fascinating.
