La India Taco Truck

Tacos are $ 1.25 now and they moved North a couple of feet down towards the 92 freeway where the E-​Waste Building is located. Tacos are still yummy!

Tacos are now $ 1.25, but still cheap enough if you’ve only got quarters to pay with .
Burritos are tasty and a good size, ($ 5.00) but include a couple of items that aren’t usually in your standard taco truck burrito. Chopped lettuce (didn’t like) and copious amounts of cilantro (did like)
Salsa is extremely mild. I’d prefer more heat.
One of the better trucks in Hayward.

This is the best taco truck in the eastbay. I’m been eating these tacos since I was in high school back when they used to be on mission blvd by Mexico super back in 1999. I was sad when they had to move cuz of the smiling jacks pizza place hated on them cuz la India was making more money than them. Anyways when I found them again I was happy. I drive by them everytime im headed to work so when i have a craving i just go .Man. I hungry right now just writing this review. I always get the pastor tacos with everything. I want tacos now !!!

I’ve driven by this taco cart many, many, times and was always curious on how the food was. Well, I’ve satisfied my curiosity and needless to say, I will never be back. Steak tacos are OK and the Pastor… good lord… BARF!
Any person who enjoys the pastor must enjoy road kill because it was just plain NASTYYYYYYY! I gagged after my first bite… didnt’t even finish chewing, just spat is out and lost my appetite.
NEVER, EVER, EVER, even if I only had $ 1 in my pocket, would I ever come back to this taco cart!

My girlfriend and I absolutely love this place! The tacos are only $ 1 and they always satisfy our taco cravings. I love the pork while my gf loves the steak tacos. The tortas are good as well. I would stay away from the burritos unless you cant fulfill your burrito cravings else where. You cannot beat the $ 1 tacos here. where else can you get 3 good tacos for $ 3? The guys in the cart are nice people and there’s even a van selling bootleg dvds parked next to it! Don’t expect the best tacos you’ve even had. Don’t expect too much as this is a cart that sells tacos. But as long as you keep these things in mind, you wont be disappointed with the tacos. $ 1 tacos! who could complain? and
here’s a tip: when he asks «for here or to go?» take it «for here» and if you want it to go… still get it «for here» and ask for the foil wrapped over the plate, otherwise they will wrap your tacos like fat egg rolls.

Pretty disappointed. First the truck is really small, no side counter to stand and eat. They have a couple of tables there for you to sit, if you don’t mind sitting with a bunch of other truckers. Pretty ghetto warehouse area. We took it to go.
Its unique how they individually wrapped the tacos, but it looks more like egg rolls than tacos. First bite didn’t do anything for my taste buds. I understand it’s only $ 1 a taco, but I had way better taco trucks for the same price.

Dollar tacos! Most times u pay for what u get, but these are hella good! Driving back to Oakland is kinda out the way for me just to get some good tacos, so this is convenient for ppl in the Hayward, U.C. area. Its just a pain cause they don’t stay in one place unlike the taco trucks in oak.

YAY! First to pop La India’s cherry! My boyfriend introduced me to this cheap mexican food truck and since then I been hooked. It’s a buck for a taco! Not only is it just a cheap filler but it’s GOOD. It’s tucked on the side of a warehouse parking lot. The al pastor and carni asada is real good. The al pastor is super juicy and tasteful. Their carrots and onions are on point as well. You can enjoy cheap food, while perhaps running into the gentlemen selling thick FLEA MARKET type blankets and dvds. What more can you ask for?
