Ok I’m back! It’s been awhile since I gave a review! It’s because my car has been maintenance– free due to these guys at M&N! Not only do they give the best possible service around, Johnny will give you honest, reasonable and fair down-​to-​earth prices… I brought my 2004 Cadillac Deville in because it was stalling and service engine soon light kept coming on .I thought it was going to be a major problem like a fuel pump or intake gasket .As soon as I came in, I was greeted by Gordon and Allan who were eager to find out what the problem was. They even took time out of their lunch to give my car a once over look which made me feel important and at home until Johnny got back from retrieving parts. When Johnny did come back he asked Leo the newest member of the pit crew to diagnose my Cadillac. Funny thing was Allan and Gordon had examined it already and wanted to fix my car. Instead Johnny told them to go to lunch. When Leo came back with the diagnostic report he showed it to Johnny and gave me my estimate! $ 200 bucks .Cool! A TBI Sensor. So I said ok! Then told me to come back in an hour. I come back in a hour to find out that Juan had noticed my alternator was going out while Leo was putting in the sensor! Johnny then showed how much an alternator would cost parts/​labor. $ 969.00 OMG! He told me don’t worry he’s not going to charge me that because that’s a commercial shop price. He told me with The Sensor, diagnostic tests, alternator and parts /​labor the grand total would be $ 800.00. I thought that was very reasonable considering all the time and effort they had already put in including the crazy sense of humor jokes ! After I agreed they assigned Leo, the newest member, to the alternator replacement job. Leo completed the job in a timely manner and runs better than when I bought my car! So I want to give many thanks to Leo, Juan And Gordon for a GREAT JOB well done ! I want to also include Allan who gave me rides when I needed and caring informative experience! Great job! Thank you very much guys! Oh! Almost forgot ! You too Johnny ! Hahaha! Thanks Man!

I have been going to this shop for 5 – 6 years and have always received the best service. Johnny is really nice and has always made sure my vehicle is fixed properly. I have even referred my daughter to him and they have taken good care of her vehicle. I would refer anyone to this shop because he is very truthful and both him and his staff explains what the repair is and why the repair is need.

been doing business with Johnny for 8 years now. him and his crow are good, and honest people. I don’t understand why people have to say bad things about M&N ! i deal with Johnny and gorge all the time, they would go out of their way to help me out. we deal with cars all the time and if they need to get fixed «we send it to Johnny» for best price and best work. if i have any problem with his repair he’d always stand behind his warrantee
i don’t care what others have to say about M&N i know they are great and i will always do all my business with them

These guys are rude!!! I went to get my oil changed and had a coupon. The guy didn’t even look at my coupon before telling me it was no good. I guess only Good for one type of oil. I know I should know what kind of oil I use but I did not at the time. He just acted like he had better things to do when he really was not doing anything. All he had to do was be nice and I would have paid the $ 35 when I had a coupon for $ 17.99. It’s all about customer service. But hey, I know better now. So should they.

I love Johnny and George! They are always honest with me about what I can expect to pay. If you do your research and price things out with several mechanics, you will find they are quite reasonable.
They won’t let me spend any money I don’t have to, and they go above and beyond any other auto repair shop I have dealt with. I have seen the decline business where the customer didn’t want to pay what was necessary to do the job correctly. I respect that immensely!

Horrible Owner, Johnny is a liar and an unprofessional. He will sweet talk you and charge you for something that won’t solve the problem. Ever wonder why they do oil changes for $ 17.95, because they use that garbage Amtecol oil that will burn down in your engine fast. Please Stay Away

I wish I had checked out these reviews before dealing with this sick company. Long story short I towed my 2004 Lexus Rx 330 Suv to this shop November 2013 went through every excuse why it was taking so long to do a two day job which included staff vacations, funerals and hard to find screws. Johnny clearly overcharged me 1200 to 1500 to 2000 and tried to get 2500. I had to call the Hayward police just to get my vehicle which Johnny refused to release after a YEAR!!! SO Im driving it within a week of getting it out the shop, on the hwy with my newborn baby and the engine dropped right out of the fucking car steering wheel locked up and spun out of control in the middle of the Hwy. Im in such pain and disbelief my life almost ended in a flash Thank God I made it
NOT DEAL WITH THIS POOR EXCUSE OF A BUSINESS THAT SHOULD NOT BE IN BUSINESS. The little Mario looking owner Johnny is married and flirts with any woman he sees perverted and discusting! I filed 2 complaints Bb bureau and the Nation Bar automotive industry see link below.

Thought this place was going to be good to go to since I had to wash clothes next for. Turns out, they didn’t even want to help me with my car. I came in for n oil change and no one even ask if o needed help. Bad service. .
On the other hand, I went to hayward oil change and they were actually nice and helped me.

I would not recommend this repair place to anyone who wants quality work done on their car. The owner Johnnie is a rude, obnoxious, and a disgusting human being. The mechanic George is a scam artist, and a liar.
I took my car to the shop for over a year constantly having car issues, and paying more and more money. My mistake for trusting thieves. They put cheap parts in your car and charge high prices. Then they tell you how great of a deal you got.

Horrible!!!
I had them do my front brakes on my Ford Ranger, and after a month my brakes started to squeak. After 6 months they were squeaking so badly people walking down the sidewalk were giving me dirty looks.
M&N replaced the brakes again (under warranty) and the whole squeaky thing started all over again.
Fed up with M&N I went somewhere else to redo my brakes a third time. This new place did a great job at a great price. They showed me the crappy pads M&N put on, which were cracked!!!
The new place (A&H auto in Hayward) used genuine Ford Motorcraft parts, which is what the Ford dealer would use. M&N used what appeared to be the cheapest pads they could find and tried to tell me it was of the highest quality. Yeah right!
The guy named George who works there (and was very rude, used the F word while talking to me) tried to tell me the brake were failing because of the way I was driving. Are you kidding me!!! I never had brake problems until I went there.
Read the reviews, too many are very bad. My advice is don’t go to M&N, or you might be sorry, like I was. Good luck everyone!

Went here for the first time today to get an oil change, had a great experience. These guys did a great job, got me in and out quick and actually met the owner Johnny who is a very nice guy. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for good service from good people.

Had a valve problem and needed the timing belt replaced too. I am very skeptical about car mechanics and feel they are all out to get you, I did find M & N in the penny saver and decided to give them a call. Johnny gave me a very reasonable quote and that did make me uneasy about this shop. Why such a reasonable price? I have to say the shop is not that well maintained and makes you feel like this place maybe one of those places that takes your car and begins to jack up the price. Even though I felt uncomfortable, the reasonable priced nudged me to leave my car there to get the repairs done. To my surprise I received the car back, I didn’t have any problems, and the price was as quoted Job well done for the price paid. Since my visit, I have recommend my mother to M&N and she was also satisfied with their price and work. I did rate four stars just because the place could have a better setting atmosphere, but I don’t believe anything can make you feel better about paying for car maintenance.

Worse place ever took my truck for over a week johnny was using my truck to do earns he put 92miles on my truck after I checked spedo cups an food in my truck an still never fixed my truck I took it to Larrys an in three hours he had me out the shop with my truck running great! BIG RIP OFF

I needed to get some work done on my new car. I am a first time Volkswagen owner, so I wanted to find someone who does top notch work on them. Meet George at M&N Auto Sales!
He looked over the entire car, found a few things wrong with it. He was honest with me, and even cut me a good deal. A week later, I wanted him to finish up the work. When he called me to tell me the price was actually higher than the estimate he gave me, he still went ahead and gave it to me for the price he quoted me. George won’t let ANY of the other mechanics touch my car, he treats it like his own.
Johnny is great too. He loves to joke with me, but he is a really good person. We went to pick up my boyfriend’s car and it wasn’t going to be ready until late the next morning. He gave my boyfriend a car to drive!
We have spent A LOT of money here, but they do good work, and it’s rare to have a mechanic give you one of his cars to drive until it’s ready. They have officially won us over!

Do not go here. This is quite possibly the most crooked auto repair/​auto sales facility in the Bay Area. The owner Johnny is a liar and Ray is usually spaced out. Ever wonder how they can do an oil change for $ 14.95? Let’s just say make sure they change the oil filter.
Johnny is definitely the type you would not want to buy a used car from but if you do make sure you get a Car Facts report first. They buy junk cars from the auto auction, fix them and sell them.

These guys are crooks, criminals. They lie and take advantage. They say one thing and do another. They «make up records» just to get more money. I warn everyone not to buy a car from this company they will take advantage of you, and when you catch them in a lie they hang up on you. Please buyers beware these guys need to be stopped.

I’m not one to give a bad review, seriously I think every business has it’s good & bad employees-​but M&N Auto did me so wrong I have to put this out there. I took my van in there back in July 09 to get the air conditioner fixed; if you live around the East Bay you’d remember it was scary ass 100 degree weather in July. My AC has never given me any trouble-​12 years my mom has had that van and it’s always run great. I took it in and asked them specifically-‘can you fix my air conditioner?’ Johnny was the one who was supposed to fix it-​he seemed nice, a little goofy but a nice guy-​he said yes he would fix it. Of course after running some tests they found something wrong with something else! I can’t even remember what it was now-​but he said, and i quote, ‘we need to fix this because it affects the way the air blows into your car. if one little peice of metal gets stuck in there, it could be very bad.’ so we paid $ 700 dollars to get that fixed; thinking it directly applied to the air conditioner. He said it would take 24 hours-​so we left the van overnight. No one calls the next day so they end up keeping it another day. THEN he says there’s a part they need to get a hold of, so they keep it for 2 more days. Meanwhile, my brother’s in the hospital; so my family is running hospital shifts in 1 car. They said they’d get us a loaner; it was the nastiest, dirtiest Durango ever; and my mom, being somewhat of a priss-​said no. They FINALLY find the belt they needed and we’re more than happy to come get our car. Johnny talks our ears off for half an hour about how sorry he is its’ taken so long, and how he will continue to pray for my brother’s recovery. He ends his half hour speech with something about God always being good, and sends us on our way. We get to the van, and lo & behold-​the air conditioner still doesn’t work. He comes out and says, no, it doesn’t work-‘THATS NOT WHAT YOU PAID FOR.’
I am not making this up. He then went on to say he’d be more than happy to run some more tests, and see if there was anything he could do about the dash not letting the air into the car. I was so pissed at this point I could not even speak. I asked him if he KNEW the air conditioner still didn’t work while he was preaching about God being good; and then asked him to get out of my vehicle. I get in to drive off and my mother walks back to her car; which is now GONE. Her car had been stolen while the crook was lecturing us.
That last bit had nothing to do with M&N Auto– though my moms car was stolen-​but I hate, hate, hate-​that place. Don’t go there, especially if your female, because they will rape you for your money.
**Also, when they put the engine back together, they didn’t bolt down the cover of my (fan? i think it was) so when I tried to check my oil I couldn’t even pull the bar out. I then had to go BACK to m&n and made them fix it.
Go if you want; but here’s fair warning: don’t be fooled by the goofy little mexican man that looks like Super Mario. They’re crooked.
