I go here grocery shopping all the time. The lady on front is nice. will help you find anything if you can’t locate. They have good selection of spices, lentils, flours, and pooja items.

Discovered this place while looking for the Alameda County Hazardous Material facility on W. Winton near the Hayward Terminal. So happy to make this find as i usually drive to Berkeley to find indian spices, prepared foods, etc. If only they had a café ala Vik’s Chaat, it would be ideal. When i have more time and plan better, i’ll definitely return!

Get the Chicken Tikka Masala BBQ. Mix with a little yogurt to marinate chicken before baking or grilling. The color and taste are terrific.

Mumbai Bazaar is a blessing for Hayward. The personnel there was very friendly and helpful to me. I am a beginner to Indian cooking classes(also given in Hayward) and learning ingredients would have been very difficult without Mumbai Bazaar. They have every authentic item I have ever wanted for making tasty new recipes. They have every sort of specialty cooking utensil or pot to make it with too. Who knew there existed so many types of salt each with a different purpose? Not me. Just walking in their store is a fascinating journey. I’m grateful every day they bring such variety of the world so close.

If your cooking creative juices are flowing and you want to create authentic Indian dishes, this is the place to come for supplies. Star Anise, Mustard Seeds, Cardamon Pods, they have everything. I had the opportunity to shop and compare to another local spice establishment and Mumbai Bazaar has better prices and excellent customer service. Get your Garam Marsala on and crank up the ol’ spice grinder. This is where it’s happening!

Great and a cheap place to go shopping for spices and other Indian products.
