On Saturday, I called two companies for quotes on some tree work because I wasn’t sure how much it should cost — I just knew it wouldn’t be cheap, especially here in the Bay Area. I knew both companies were great, but Oscar’s quote was a little lower. Since I felt good about both of them, I went with him. Also Oscar was a referral from our next-​door neighbor, who was pleased with the work he’d done for her already.
He scheduled an appointment for today, just four days later. He removed a dying (and tall) pine tree for us before the big El Niño winter and cut a huge acacia limb that was endangering our neighbor’s garage.
Just got home from work and the tree was down, the yard was clean, and they did a great job with the acacia as well. He told me that the pine tree had started to go rotten higher up, so good thing we took care of it before it snapped off halfway. We’ve already had one huge pine tree fall in a storm & just miss our house, don’t need to go through that again.
I’m happy we did this, and happy that we hired Oscar’s crew.
