Payless Shoe Source

Damn.
This store is closing!
My wife and I noticed the huge STORE CLOSING sign on Wednesday.
I was at a bad angle at first, and so I hoped that it was for the Verizon Wireless store (no offense).
We don’t go to Payless Shoe Source all the time (hell, with my big feet, I rarely find any shoes that fit), but it’s nice, at least for now, that this location is so close to us.
I can’t say that I’m too surprised.
Despite being a Saturday, the store wasn’t too busy when we went on ¹⁰⁄₂₉.
Oh well.

Normally you will never see me in Payless, but I came in for the Oprah Show ½ off thing, thought $ 10 shoes… ya never know right?
The ladies in here are soooo nice, you’d think you were in Nordies and they were working on commission minus the nagging part. All I spent was $ 7.99 but they were still all smiles.
$ 7.99 patent pumps, can’t beat that. And they’re wide which makes my feet happy.

5 STARS ALL AROUND
As soon as we walked in we were greeted with warm hellos. 5 STARS! This store is very clean, and well maintained. 5 STARS! The shoe selection for what we needed was great. All the shoes placed neatly, and the correct sizes in the right place. 5 STARS!
The best part of this store is the customer service. I noticed the employees would go around checking on everyone, letting em know the sale items. We came here for some quick workout shoes cause my friend left hers at home, and I needed some flip flops. I got 2 pair of flip flops for 10 bucks. Very cute ones too! My friend picked up 2 more pair cause the sale was hard to say no to. The lady that worked there (I looked for her name, but couldn’t find it on her badge), she even hooked up a discount cause she wanted to clear some inventory. THANK YOU! We also got the 3 buck coupon for the next time we visit. YES!!!

I am a size 5 and some stores carry mostly kiddie shoes in that section. With that said, they have a pretty good selection for women. Friendly staff, plenty of parking, also in a convenient location.
I also bought a cute pair of heels here. :)

The Nordstrom rack of the ghetto.

This is a new store in the same shopping center with Target, Jamba Juice, Subway and a Hawaiian joint. I came here for cheap, black, close toed shoes that were more on the conservative side than the sexy stilettos in my closet. I found exactly what I needed for under $ 20. The staff was unbelievebly friendly and helpful. The store is well kept. I’d definitely go back for cheap shoes.
