Schafer Park Elementary School

I love how locked down this school is. it has
the most secure school in Hayward. At least that I’ve seen. The ladies in the office CAN be pretty rude at times or nice depends when u catch them but i think that is like a requirement for school attendance ladies lol. The principal Mr. Flores is very nice and easy to talk to, very helpful and cares about the kids as well as the parents and overall functioning of the school. I took a star off
.not feeling the new kindergarten teacher my kid got, but there ARE good ones just not her. the years almost over and i will be sure to switch teachers if need be in first grade. But again, the security! The school is surrounded by a black iron gate which i believe is opened by keypad code. All visitors must go through the office and be checked in, name tagged and then buzzed in by the attendance ladies. There’s no easy way in our out without doing this which i love. Makes me feel very safe! Also the school is only a couple years old so its nice and updated, clean grounds
