Weirdo Skateboards

This place is kind of weird, they made me sit outside while they got their act together (I got there about 30 min after they were supposed to open. Finally he comes out and asks me what I want, I tell him I want to buy a skateboard and he looked at me like I was an alien. Weird right?
Cool looking little showroom — but 100% street boards — no longboards.
I would def give this place a chance if I were looking for different decks.

I’m thrilled I found this shop on Unilocal.My kids wanted skateboards for Christmas, and Tom hooked Santa up with two just perfect for my kids, taking all the time necessary to make them just right! Tom clearly knows what he’s doing when it comes to skateboards, and he’s invited the kids back to the store to try out his skate pool out back. Come here for your next skateboard purchase. Full Disclosure: I’m not a skater. But my 9 year-​old is in love with it, and is ready to learn. We heard about Weirdo through other families in our neighborhood, and we could not have had a better, more pleasant experience. Tom went through every separate component to make sure my son had the perfect customized board. Then I thought we were done… but wait! Tom took us to his workshop in the back where he spent another hour with us putting the board together. He passed on all sorts of important details about how to build and maintain his new board, which was so important for a beginner like my son. I couldn’t believe how patient Tom was, and he’s probably made a skater for life. Great experience, and we will be regular customers, I’m sure.

I was hesitant to come here with my boys even though I was told this was the place to go from several people. I can’t tell you much about skateboarding expect my boys love it & were getting into it so I wasn’t sure what to ask/​do once I got there. Tom took care of everything. I was blown away at the amount of time he spent with my boys & the patience he had with them. The hands experience & allowing my boys to get involved with making the board was priceless. Tom did not push any sales & talked to my kids & made this experience truly wonderful. Glad I listened to others & went here as I will be sure to go back in the future. Killer pool in the back to that my boys keep bugging me about!

Best service, best gear! The owner skates and has for decades. He knows his stuff and will guide you towards what will best fit your needs. The Weirdo line of boards is also excellent. The boards are available in an assortment of shapes and sizes, are made from primo wood with perfect wheelbase and nose/​tail specs. A truly skater-​focused skate shop.

Awesome little shop. Tom’s an old time skater, still killing it in his 50’s, an inspiration to us all. He’s an honest guy and will take the time to try and get you set up with what will work for you. Overall, highly recommended.

Went over to purchase some skateboard stuff for my sister’s boyfriends kid. Really nice selection of all different kinds of stuff. The owner seemed extremely knowledgeable. Didn’t try to oversell me and took his time explaining the different type of board setups. Great variety of some really cool, trippy decks. I think I ended up with some great priced gear. Will go back and bring the kid this time.

This place has everything. Tom is a die hard skater who really knows his stuff. The selection of decks is great… Something for everyone.

Legit shop, the owners are very nice. Prices are affordable and there’s a pool in the back yard!
