In addition to hosting weekly worship services and mid-​week youth nights, this location also provides a genealogical library, it hosts regional meetings — being called a Stake Center, as well as regional activities like basketball tournaments, musical events, visiting speakers, and youth dances. This building works hard, in other words.
I’ve attended regional events and services, but have also met members of the congregations who attend here. Another great place for learning more about our Savior, and finding a diverse community of people with that same goal. As with other congregations and regions, the leadership, teachers, and advisers are volunteers — no one is paid to serve. There is a great spirit here.
I have not visited the genealogical center, and would recommend a web search to get contact info, so that one could confirm hours of operation to make a visit and assess the resources available.
I believe Sunday services meet at 9 am. When visiting for the first time, and if approaching the building by heading northward on Howdershell, it is easy to miss the entrance. It is a small entrance, and both the exit and entrance are one-​way. So, right after passing McDonalds and crossing Hazelwest Dr on the right, then hit the blinker and begin to brake as you’ll immediately find the entrance driveway on the right.
