Aldi is my favorite grocery store in the area. I like the store of r several reasons. 1. Great price — overall better than supermarket and attar w/Costco(at less quantity). 2. Their products are of good quality even though selection is more limited. 3. I like that the store is not huge — makes it easier and faster for me to do my shopping. Give them a try!

I am a huge fan of Aldi! The first few times I went, I was not a huge believer… once I started to give the store brand products a chance, I was hooked. To me 95% of the store brands taste or perform as well if not better than the«name brands». The other 5% is personal preference. I love the society crackers(cl*b crackers knock off) better than the name brand. The produce can totally be hit or miss, but if they’re overstocked on produce that means a great deal for the shoppers(for example last week I got 8 navel oranges for 1.99!!) I’m also pleased to see more organic options! They take cash and debit cards… not credit cards. Bring your own bags or buy them for .10 each. Don’t forget the quarter for the shopping cart!

I have been shopping at this location since it opened. Rookie shoppers will need to to get use to the products but they are normally equal too or better than the national brands you get at other supermarkets. The do have some national brands here too and for the most part prices are lower here than the other huge chain grocery stores. Some of the savings are volume related. Note a box of pasta can be 12 ounces not a pound. Other items are worth buying at the other grocers like eggs. They only have small eggs so although the price is lower here the eggs are smaller. Other dairy items are a better deal here at Aldi and they have a neat selection. I also pass on the produce, it looks good but larger size packages and limited selections make having the Hazlet Farmers maket nearby convenient. I buy my produce there. The chicken and meat are okay in fact in the warmer months I buy my pork ribs here in cryopacs. They have the best price per pound and the quality is great. I get meat here occasionally it’s not bad but I go to another place with onsite butchers. Overall I like Aldi for lots of grocery items I like the Greek yogurts better than national brands. The chip prices here are the best around and the chips are great. Cheeses here have the best prices like the shredded mozzarella and cheddar and lots of their frozen veggies and snack are excellent. Aldi is my regular grocery store but you have to keep trying items and keep in mind they don’t have as much as the big shelf stores. My ritual when grocery shopping is Aldi, then Hazlet Farmers market, then best market. If I need anything else it’s Shop Rite in Middletown or Hazlet. Other things to know are they rotate their items and have different seasonal specials. If you see and item you like buy it because they may not bring it back again for a while. Sort of like a seasonal rotation. They also sell se merchandise and all appliances. I have several things that work really well and were greatly reduced in cost. A trick is hold off and wait till they drop the price to sell off the last few from inventory. This is risky though because when an it is gone it’s gone. I like Aldi, I’m a regular shopper.

I’ve been going to this store for over 20 years. Love the prices although they’ve gone up n down. They have made some major changes over the years good and bad, they still maintain their cheapness. They put in more meat and refrigeration. They xpanded their selections and keep up with what’s popular and trendy. You still have to know your prices but where can you get snacks and other necessities so cheap they don’t carry everything that bigger stores do but cram as much as they can in their store. They also have many more locations than they did 10 years ago, which makes it easier to get to their stores.

This store’s prices caused me to drop our Costco membership. Prices are consistantly below all other grocery stores. They also have a lot of private brands but in 5 yearsd of shopping this chain, we have only found one or two that we didn’t like. Their frozen ½ lb Angus burgers are to kill for. They also have occasional better stuff like right now a 3 core Intel desktop with 3G mem for $ 500. When they are gone they do not replace their special items. They are cash only. I have no relationship with this store but they are really great.
