AM2PM Child Care Learning Center

To begin, I would rate this child facility a 0 if possible. I recently pulled my children out of the daycare due to the lack of of poor management. The owners name, which I believe is Raj along with his wife, is very rude and disrespectful to his staff in front of parents. However, the staff and teachers are great. I can see that they are not treated properly. This brings a cause for concern. if he will due this in front of paying customers, what is going on when parents are not around?? Instead, he is hitting on the parents when they drop off/​pick up. Not to mention, that he can barely keep any staff members. Every few weeks there would be a new teacher inside the classroom. This is a shame. The children get used to a certain teacher and routine.
Another issue with the facility is the child to teacher ratio. It is evident to see that there are not enough staff members for each room. More often then not when picking my children, the teachers a trying to accomplish multiple tasks at once while attempting to care for the children as well. For this reason, I did some research online. The proper ratio is approximately 4 to 1 for younger children and approximately 14 to 1 for older children. Thus, he is not providing proper care for these children. It is impossible for one teacher to supervise, prep meals, change diapers, etc.
The cleanliness in the school is terrible. After Hurricane Sandy, matters were worse. Proper care was not met to insure acceptable learning environment. You can smell the mildew inside the school. The playground is horrendous. The fence is broken. this is scary especially the school is located on a main highway, and there is not enough staff to supervise all the children. Instead of replacing the mulch which was saturated from the storm, he simply added more too it. The toys on the playground look gross and old. Maintenance is terrible. His facility is extremely outdated. I don’t even understand how this business is still operating, there are so many neglected aspects. It needs some serious renovations.
As far as the food plan, don’t do it. It is a complete rip off. He waters down the apple juice to the point where it looks almost clear. My child would come home with water left in his zippy cup, and it was cloudy. This is what he is serving the children.
Concluding, it is a terrible idea to send your child to this daycare. You get what you pay for. The price is not as expensive compared to other daycares because he does not offer quality care for the children. I would suggest to do some research on other daycares, because this is one of the worst I have seen. Be aware that he does own another child daycare called AM2PM. The owner is a good manipulator. He will promise you the world, but fails to deliver.
