Dairy Queen

It’s dairy queen. Blizzards are great. The owners run the tightest ship I’ve ever seen and I must applaud them for that. The location is pristine both inside and out. A little dated, but clean. Some seating out back if you want to enjoy right away. This DQ is straight to business about getting ice cream inside your stomach.

I’m in town for business and I just had a nice time at Sandy Hook beach. My sister and I really wanted some ice cream. We came to this Dairy Queen and I must say I was VERY displeased with the customer service. After being told by the owner that I could not have an ice cream cone I’ve been getting for over 20 years at EVERY other DAIRY QUEEN I’ve visited, (a vanilla ice cream cone dipped in cherry with sprinkles) I wanted to leave. After my sister’s blizzard was made incorrectly twice a young lady finally came to take my order. She didn’t greet me. She stared at me as if I were suppose to KNOW she was ready to take my order. Especially since I just saw her cleaning the ice cream display glass. I’m sure the ice cream would’ve been great but after a condescending owner and young teenager/​very young adult with a lackluster attitude I decided to take my business else where. You never know who maybe coming into your store. First impressions and experiences go along way. I’m assuming the owner thought I was a young «kid» from around the way. Funny because I’m a successful business owner myself so I know a thing or 2 about exceptional customer service. I’ll be sure to NEVER come back here again when I’m in this particular area of New Jersey. I guess I just have to go back to the Dairy Queen I frequent back home in Nashville where making an ice cream with cherry dippings and sprinkles is NOT unheard of. Bummer.

I always stop by on my beach trips from Sandy Hook and order a vanilla shake. You can either drink or eat in your car or sit on a picnic table.

Always exceptional service as well as a clean environment. Oh yeah did I mention the blizzard of the month Choco peanut butter brownie OMG!

nice clean efficient well managed. made a bad bad choice. the party cake blizzard… so sweet it was nauseating but a nice location and many fine choices…
