I LOVELOVE this place! ALL the employees were very friendly and professional. Being first time jumpers and a group of 10 every individual got treated with attention and smiles! The check in was very quickly. The divers are very professional and give you that extra boost of excitement. Don K. Jumped out with my group twice! Which made it even more encouraging especially for those that were nervous! The pictures and videos are awesome and def worth it! It’s an unforgettable memory that everyone should buy especially on their first jump. We will def go back next year! Thank you Kathleen(took amazing pics and video), Christoph(diver he’s so much fun) and Dave(pilot) for my amazing unforgettable experience!

«Above the Pococos Skydivers» made my first skydiving experience great! They were professional and went over instructions, of course… but they were also fun and personable. They have a well organized staff, and everything went super! I’ll be coming back for jump #2! Ralph

Skydiving is pretty nerve wrecking the first time, but the group of people working really help ease that tension. It’s such a fun & relaxed atmosphere from the moment you check in, to the plane ride up, especially on the plane ride up, and all the way until you’re walking on solid ground again.

Went to Hazleton and had an incredible time skydiving in PA. If you like an adrenaline rush, you’ll really enjoy your first tandem jump. The owner has 40,000 or so jumps in so it seems like the place to be to get started in the sport.

Attention thrill seekers: You should go skydiving. And you should go here. Since(from my previous reviews) we have established that six flags is a complete waste of both time and money, I would also like to point out that nitro’s drop is a mere 215 feet. Compare that to 10,000 feet. My point exactly. I chose Above the Poconos for their experience, reputation and location. And hellllo the Guinness World Record holder for most skydives(Don Kellner) freaking runs the place. The place is very quaint, and even though the training video was circa 1993, the equipment was up to date, the divers were very experienced, and I felt comfortable and safe the whole time. They even provide sharpies so you can doodle on your hands for fun pictures. Apparently the most popular saying is «hi mom» which I now understand after hearing the panicked voice of my mother as she digested my casual jump-out-of-a plane feat. As we crammed into the little plane to ascend 10,000 feet«above the Poconos», we were enraptured by the blue skies and awing mountain views. And then you jump, just like that. Dvd and pictures come at an extra $ 90 but honestly, it’s worth it. They video you and your friends throughout the whole experience from gear prep to practice jump to plane ride to FREEFALL to parachute landing. It’s quite entertaining to watch your facial expressions at each stage vacillating from suspense, nervousness, excitement and back again. Don’t forget to pick out your music beforehand for an extra $ 5 discount(They also give you an extra $ 14 off if you pay with cash). It’s definitely an awesome experience that I would recommend to all adventure lovers. I will say that the whole experience was very surreal. 10 minutes after our safe landings and gear removal, my friend and I looked at each other in disbelief — «uhhh did we just skydive??»
