This bar was recommended to us by Tara the bartender at Henry’s Bar. We had a little trouble finding parking but that was mainly due to the snow piles. The owner here is great. Jimmy. Classic Italian guy. Picture Tony Soprano. Friendly guy. Great stories. But he’s not just a talker. He asks questions and listens and has a lot of knowledge. He knows the area and will give you tips if you’re from out of town. Friendly folks at this bar. Only one beer on tap currently. Miller Lite. But he has the usual beers in bottles and I know yuengling lager is cheap in cans here. Heck, everything is cheap here. Jimmy the owner is a huge Springsteen fan and his signature drink is Bruce Juice. Not sure exactly what is in it and its basically a secret although he will probably tell you if you ask nicely. But he will only tell you once! We just got done eating when we arrived so we didn’t eat., but we hear they make a mean pizza. Along the lines of senape’s pizza. We will be back to try it. We were here right before st pattys day so they were giving out some ham & cabbage soup which looked good. And he wasn’t even charging people for it. I’ve seen better bathrooms and décor but hey, it’s a dive bar. A dive bar with character. After hanging out with the owner all night I have to say this place is one great bar. So stop in, engage the bartender. Order a Bruce Juice or s cheap beer and hear some good stories from jimmy. You won’t be disappointed.
