I’ve been to this resturant many times in the past 10 or so years, no real differences year to year other than prices. For the price its good. Only thing negative I have to say is they don’t label their sushi and they close sushi/hibachi at 10pm without actual notices anywhere or told at any time until you go to the sushi/hibachi area and ask, as they obvious will have nothing ready after 10pm when you walk up towards there. So be warned now if you only want sushi or hibachi after 10pm, move on, they do not have it and if you go in expecting this you will still pay full price… unless you argue the reality you are not getting full service for a full price.

There are so many buffet restaurants in the world today. Most have the same damn layout, and the same damn menu choices. Kudos to this Chinese buffet for going the extra mile to make their food unique and even challenging the choice status quo. They had items that were not suppose to be there. I like that. From the outside, it’s typical cultural design. Inside, the same. The waiters and waitresses are actually coming around to see if you are okay, and to fill your glasses. One more victory for the rebels.

This place is great! I was expecting just your standard Chinese buffet but its so much more! Usually buffet food is luke warm which is why I usually why I stay away. Everything was hot and delicious. raw bar with oysters and clams, steamed shrimp, clams, crab legs, carving station with pork loin, baked ham and roast beef, delicious Chinese food, and American food as well. This is definitely a new favorite and I believe the $ 15 dinner price is well worth it!

Huge amount of food, hibachi bar, sushi bar, desserts and ice cream make this the best buffet around.

Used to love this place. Gone through many different owners over the years. Overall, I love going here. The food is always good. But the prices have skyrocketed so much it’s ridiculous. For 2 adults and a young child(all drinking water), be prepared for almost a $ 40 bill. I believe it’s $ 5 – 6 for a 4yr old. To me, that is expensive for a child who eats next to nothing. Staff is hit or miss. Most of the time they are completely rude. Bathrooms are usually filthy.

Jumbo China Buffet is the best buffet in the area. With a Mongolian grill, a sushi bar, 3 rows of hot food, and 2 rows of dessert and salad, it is by far the largest as well. I enjoy this place whenever I am really hungry in order to ensure I am getting my money’s worth, but be sure to not over-do it otherwise you will become jumbo…

This will be everything you expect out of a Chinese buffet. They have a large selection of food, with a hibachi section… An American section… And obviously the Chinese section.

The food is decent. However, every time I come by to sit and eat, it seems to me that most of the people who work there look miserable. I do NOT get that«welcoming» feeling while dining in there. So I pretty much prefer take-out instead.

One of my favs by far. The price is a little pricey if your paying for more then one person but to be honest with you… I think its worth it. Try the Hibachi its bad ass. Also take out is cool just don’t over do it cuz they are charging per pound. I would visit again for sure

I honestly don’t see what the big hype about this restaurant is. People in my high school were like«Oh my god, it’s so delicious! Greatest Chinese place ever!» Not really. Not even close. This is not that great of a restuarant. I’m sorry. There’s so many buffets that are better than this.

I only went here a few times(about 3 – 4) mostly against my will but because of friends, and every time, not only was the food not that great in the first place, but every single time I went, the food was ice cold! I went at varying times too, so it was not like it was just a switchover phase from lunch to dinner or something. It would be 5 or 6PM and prime dinner time, and the food was cold. Sadly enough as well, I think more people go here because of all the American foods they offer. I don’t know if they changed since I was last there 2 years ago, but they had more American stuff like pizza. fries, burgers, hot dogs, ice cream, etc one would ever want at a Chinese place. The sadder thing is, I think more people eat that then they do the Chinese food if that says anything about the food… I also had a friend that got food sickness from here. Probably because the cold food sitting out just loves to gather bacteria! Some people rave about this place, but I absolutely think its the worst place ever. Eat at your own risk, you have been warned!

For all the hype I’ve heard over this buffet I was sorely disappointed. Hazleton is about an hour drive from my house, and I decided to call ahead one Friday night to see how late they were open. Ten-thirty, said the person who answered. We left at around 8:15 to ensure we have enough time to eat. There’s nothing more I dislike than being«straggler diners» whom the wait staff are constantly pushing to leave. No such luck. We arrived to see a van parked out front with various pipes and hoses snaking their way into the restaurant. The sign on the front door read«carpet cleaning, closing at 10pm». Lovely. We had 40 or so minutes at that point until the place closed. We went up to fill our plates, and the hibachi was pretty good. Not the best, but not the worst I’ve had. The crab legs, which everyone absolutely raved over, were a major disappointment. More than likely they decided not to put anything fresh out from the time we arrived since they would be closing so soon. There’s nothing more discouraging to a seafood lover than soggy, flimsy crab legs. Our waitress was disinterested in us and stayed away until it was time to give us the check. Not to mention we were seated next to the most vulgar, rude family I’ve ever encountered. But I know that’s not necessarily the establishment’s fault. I went there expecting something more than the average buffet but the food fell short. The service was dismal at best, and the fact that I was given misinformation was pretty much the straw that broke the camel’s back.

My husband and I eat out every Saturday night. I love chinese and of course he doesn’t so we «sometimes» go to the Jumbo Buffet. I can honestly say we have never gotten sick but the last time we went I had gotten the mussels in black bean sauce. For whatever reason I saw what I thought was a piece of the mussel’s beard hanging out. I pushed on it with my fork and this big black hairy spider came out, dead of course. I nearly lost my mind and whatever I had already eaten. Wow!!! What an experience! We repoted it and our waiter just shrugged and said«no english» — we walked out and haven’t been back since. I have this vision burned permanently in my mind’s eye.

Date Visited: Sunday 6÷21÷09(Lunch) My fiancé says he would only give this restaurant 1 star, which is quite a surprise since he eats just about anything… healthy. I’m definitely not picky where that’s concerned. We went to treat my fiancé’s grandfather to a Father’s Day meal. I took a quick walk around the buffet and found some things that I thought I could eat, but either the price(over $ 10 because it was a Sunday and/or a holiday), the smell of seafood, or the fear that the food would contain some kind of meat sauce or something told me to order off the menu. I ended up getting the bean curd with broccoli. Being a buffet, there’s a lot of noise and a lot of people always moving about. I was lucky because I had a wall to my left and didn’t have to see more movement than I could stand. The service was decent for being a buffet. The food itself was not bad. The tofu wasn’t too hard or too soft. The broccoli was cooked well enough that I could bite through it without issue. They don’t put knives on the table, so this was important. Portion size was really good. I had leftovers, which were boxed up and later eaten by my future in-laws. I don’t think I’d go back if the choice were mine. I mean… the food was good enough to go back to, but I wouldn’t go there while they had the buffet. I guess that’s all the time, huh? The smell of the seafood is way too much for me.

Un-believe-able! This is bar-none the best buffet in town! They seriously have a huge range of choices, almost a Jumbo selection, if you will… Hibachi? Included! Sushi? Included! Pizza? Included! Ice Cream? Included! Why mention pizza? No idea why, but this place has some awesome pizza on the buffet as well! Always inexpensive, and the waiters are typically super-friendly as well! This place is highly recommended!

I suffered the most excruciating case of food poisoning from this place in August of 2008 during my trip back home to see family and friends. It nearly ruined my whole trip! I was up late all night with my head in the toilet and gut-wrenching pain… no exaggerating needed! I needed to get up the next morning for a pre-paid/no refund white water rafting trip, and one evening out at this place with my family nearly cost me that! I’m not sure what Pennsylvania’s food service standards are during health inspections, but after hearing later how many of my friends refuse to eat there or have had similar experiences… I’m appalled that they’re still in business! Here in CA, we have strict health inspection laws on restaurants and issue grades that MUST be displayed in the windows! PA should step up and protect their consumers!
