My fear of needles is what has kept me away from acupuncture. However, my desire for holistic healing, along with Lucy’s openness and information about how she can heal not only with acupuncture, but with other techniques as well, is what got me in the door.
My first visit was just a few days ago, and I still feel relief. She has a calm confidence in her craft, one that had me comfortable immediately. She knew that I had a bit of anxiety around the needles, but we talked about it and kept talking about other things which calmed me down.
She placed 8 needles, and I was fine. I fell asleep, and woke feeling relaxed and calm. I am grateful to her for explaining to me about why she was placing the needles where she was placing them, as well as treating me while I was lying down.

I sought out an acupuncturist for help with fertility as I heard from many friends that it helps greatly with getting pregnant. Two friends referred me to Lucinda. I gave her a call, even thought I wasn’t thrilled about being a pin cushion, and left her a message. She was quick to respond and we talked through my concerns over «the needles.» Lucinda explained her process in detail and how the needs are very thin, and she reassured me we’d move slow and gently. My first appointment she did exactly as she said and I felt great afterwards. I saw her for 3 more treatments to prepare for my second IVF cycle (frozen embryo transfer), and then I saw her for 2 treatments after the transfer. And guess what… I’m pregnant!

I’ve been to my share of acupuncturists and I’ve become familiar with the theories and terminology of the art of Oriental Medicine — Lucinda absolutely knows what she’s doing!
She took the time to do a diligent diagnosis of my symptoms and actively listened to everything that I felt was important. She takes the time — and that made all the difference to me. She even saw me after «normal» business hours which is a definite plus in this community where you have to take off work to do ANYTHING.

I came to Lucinda for help with a pain management problem related to a pinched nerve in my shoulder. I had already tried chiropractic and physical therapy without much results. Pills were not really an option for me.
Her demeanor is very calm, soothing, and professional. I was a little apprehensive about the needles, but she explained how they worked, how small and painless they were, and she was right! The treatment was very relaxing.
She often has specials for three treatments for the price of two, which is what appealed to me. Unfortunately my insurance does not cover acupuncture, but I am able to apply my flexible spending account benefits (so that helps).
This is my first time seeking acupuncture treatment so I cannot compare her to other practitioners, but I do recommend her highly!
