I love shopping at Rainsong! The ladies there are always so helpful and very nice. I’ve been shopping there for years (I used to live right around the corner from the shop… dangerous!). They have a fantastic selection of shoes and always have great sales too! I like to keep my business local, so whenever I need new shoes, Rainsong is my go-​to.

i agree with the other person about the store policies. the owner seems to expect that people will know how comfortable a pair a shoes is by looking at them, or putting them on for 10 minutes. I never shop at rainsong anymore. I like to be able to wear a pair of shoes in my home, without going outside, for at least some hours, before i make a guess as to whether they fit me or not. but there return policy is unreasonable, and the guy that works there is so smarmy, he acts like he’s doing folks a favor by being there.

I am not complaining about the shoe selection and quality. However, I bought a $ 200.00 pair of shoes and tried taking them back the next day for a refund. The store’s policy is to not issue a refund but only store credit. This policy is clearly written on a sign in the window and on my receipt. However, I did not notice or read the policy. What upscale store would have such a policy. I don’t know how they can stay in business with Zappos just a click away. I will use my credit but never shop there again.

Fabulous selection of shoes, sandals, & boots. Lots of great color and a range of styles. Yes, price point is high, but your tactile sense will be rewarded. Unlike some other Unilocal reviewers, I have experienced comfortable service at Rainsong. And, I like their reward system for repeat buyers (Buy 12, Get 1 Free).

My goal is to support local businesses. On Thursday 10÷27÷11 the male sales clerk tried to sell us a flawed mans shoe and then told us they would special order but if it came in damaged they would still charge us for the shoe, and all this and the salesman helping my husband had a horrible attitude. I’m happy the boots I was looking at did feel good on my feet, down to Corte Madera tomorrow to get boots I will buy. The saleswomen in Healdsburg was just fine, she acted like she she wanted to sell me a pair of shoes!

When a customer enters your store, it is a good idea to acknowledge their presence and let them know you’ll be with them shortly. Additionally, when that customer has been waiting patiently for fifteen minutes and the customer you are helping is rambling on about what kind of shoes she’s looking for but clearly does not know what she wants, it is generally a good plan to ask her to take a look around and tell her you’ll be right back to her while you help a customer who knows exactly what they want and needs to know if you have it in their size.
These are just a few tips to avoid losing a several hundred dollar sale.

The shoes are great, but the people working there are very rude and a bit full of themselves. I can find plenty of places to spend my money. Bad customer service is unacceptable.

I can’t believe I have not written a review about this great shoe store before!
We went on a fun fall drive up through St Helena, through the Alexander Valley to Healdsburg for some shopping and lunch. it was a stunning day… Northern California at it’s best!
I was in the market for a short boot… casual, but not manly. I have been to all of my usual haunts… nothing!
Rainsong came to mind. They have a excellent selection of designer and casual shoes… and lots of boots.
I had several contenders… but the German Gabor won out in the end… kinda antique, very comfortable, but also cute. Leather in and out… so nice, and not top dollar!
it is a trek, but today it was completely worth it to me!

Just accept it. The shoes here are expensive. But they’re made that way, and the prices are only slightly higher than buying off a website, and you don’t pay shipping. Plus you get to try them on. And look at others.
