Rare is a place where I can get a Gouda breakfast burrito(excellent by the way), and have not an eyelash batted, when I order a carrot cake milk shake. Awesome variety of drinks and snacks as well.

Great locals spot in Healdsburg for sandwiches before a long day of wine tasting. They named the sandwiches after the locals– so cute! Everything we ate was delicious and the owner was accommodating to my pain in the butt modifiers with my order. I had The Bill sandwich with ham and my hubby had The Josh. It was one of the better chicken sandwiches he’s had. Only wish is that they had fountain drinks of fresh brewed tea.

Stopped in town for lunch and found this amazing deli. Summer has an awesome spread of sandwiches and other goodies. Summer herself recommended some great winery’s and other places to check out. I will certainly come back and think that you need to stop reading this and head there immediately.

Last weekend, we were wine tasting up in Healdsburg, but ended up at the Healdsburg ER due to an accident suffered by my girlfriend’s sister(she’s doing fine now). It was past lunch time after we checked her in and everyone in our party was hungry, so I looked up the nearest possible place to get food. Given the circumstances, we would have been happy with anything. To our great surprise though, Summer’s turned out to be an exceptional deli with an amiable staff. All of the sandwiches at Summer’s are named after and designed by regulars who frequent the market. It just so happened that the creator of «The Kevin» happened to be there when we were, so that was pretty neat. My girlfriend ordered«The Kevin»(the sandwich, not the person) which has turkey, gouda, mayo, tomato, lettuce, avocado, and pepperoncinis. She added bacon as well, which I would definitely recommend. I ordered the sandwich of the day which happened to be a tri-tip sandwich with grilled onions and white horseradish sauce. For the other seven people in our group, we ordered«The Kevin» for them. While we were waiting for the sandwiches, I noticed the chicken pot pies and shepard’s pies in the window. Hopefully, I can come back another time(under better circumstances) and try them. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed their sandwiches. The trip-tip was smoky and very juicy. The onions and horseradish added zest and really elevated the flavor to a higher level. I had a bite of my girlfriend’s sandwich(ok, a few bites) and it was really great too. If you are in Healdsburg for any reason, you should definitely check out Summer’s Market & Deli.

I had a very tasty egg sandwich here. It was perfect to stop in there on our way out of town at the end of our vacation. They have a couple breakfast items, some lunch and a wide variety of drinks and snacks. The bathroom was very clean.

Excellent sandwich selections made fresh with great bread choices. Almost too big for one person but we forced ourselves. Prices very fair for all you get. Potato salad choices are also excellent and homemade.

Before driving to our condo at the top of Fitch Mountain, we stopped in at this lovely market to get some«deli» items for breakfast. The shop girl was on the phone so we walked around to look for bagels, cream cheese, bread, jams, etc. Not finding what we needed, I asked the shop girl if they carried bagels or bread items and she said, «No and we do not have cigarettes or lotto tickets, either. If you didn’t notice this is a deli.» I have been in many delis while traveling throughout America and I have to say this is the only one that does not carry bagels(even organic). The shop girl’s attitude toward me was offensive and rude!

Great little store and fantastic deli! Just had a chicken pot pie and it was killer. Excellent portion and fantastic taste. Had many sandwiches here also and never a bad sandwich. Excellent service and the owner Summer is great. A must for any of our Healdsburg locals and visitors.

I love the remodel and what they’ve done with the place. I’ll need to go a few more times to give a better review as I haven’t tried all they have to offer. I’d give them a five star but I went in the other day to pick up some half and half and they were all out. I had to head over to Sheltons for the half and half for our morning coffee. Can’t complain too much in a small town like this but the point of having a convenience store in the neighborhood is for the convenience I suppose. They have good lattes and scones and I’m sure more good discoveries I’ve yet to make. So far so good n

This place had the best sandwiches! My wife loves the fresh made ice cream. There is a great selection of craft beers and organic and tasty groceries. Summer is always making great specials like pulled pork sandwiches, lasagna, Shepard’s pie and more. Definitely worth checking out! They even have a great outdoor seating area.

I just sat down and devoured my latest sandwich from Summer’s Market… and it was, as always, amazing. Just moved into town late last year(have been coming here since I was a kid) and live very near Summer’s Market. I have been a regular customer since and have yet to be disappointed. Turns out, Summer is a very accomplished professional chef with a long history in the Napa and Sonoma industry. Her pedigree and accomplishments shine through in her food. She makes everything on-site and it’s always fresh. The Dutch sandwich bread is a revelation… along with all of the meats and fixings for the sandwiches. She also has a great market, with a nice selection of quality, high-end items. She has San Pellegrino Clementina, which the best one they make yet is oddly missing from most markets. It’s the little details that make something great. Her other offerings are just as amazing as her sandwiches. The Shepherd’s Pie I had recently was enough to feed 3 people… but I actually ate the whole damn thing at once. Lasagna, pasta/potato salad, bread pudding(must have!) and much more… Summer is a wonderful person, always smiling and ready with a quick-witted joke; her positive, endearing attitude comes through in her cooking. There isn’t anything else like this place in Healdsburg. It’s tucked away on Powell just waiting to be discovered. Side note: Keep an eye out for a sandwich called«The E-Man.» It’s delectable.

I live«Up the Hill» from Summer’s Market… and frequently when I am driving home from work I ask myself — «What’s for Dinner»? The other night I did that just as I was passing. So… I stopped for a slab of their Lasagna. It was delish, and I had so much I brought it into work the next day for lunch. Everyone raved how good it was without all the spices usually associated in a traditional bake. I might be wrong but I think there was some nutmeg in it and it was over the top. I’ll be back. ! Support this little gem outside all the glitz of downtown Healdsburg and without the escalated tourist prices too !

We moved to Healdsburg last month and have been to Summer’s several times. We LOVE the sandwiches and Summer’s attention to gluten-free breads and other offerings. All the food is fresh, delicious and the market is a visual treat. We are so thriled to have Summer’s Market nearby!

Stopped in for sandwiches today and met the owners, Todd and Summer. Summer made us a couple if great sandwiches which we enjoyed in the sun at the outdoor tables. Potato salad was awesome(homemade), great selection of drinks, snacks, and a few higher end grocery-type things. Todd and Summer told us they have plans for a BBQ and some specialty sandwich menu items, but for now just order them how you want them.(Great BBQ will earn the 5th star.) Friendly owners, great food and an easy location. Great spot, especially for locals who want to avoid the downtown weekend crowd!
