Went to this place looking for soft ice cream. The person behind the counter said it was self serve and handed me a tiny styrofoam cup and pointed to the back of the restaurant. Whatever came out of the machine was not ice cream. Frozen yogurt or ice milk, and nasty looking stuff at that. Certainly not worth the over $ 5 dollars charged. Otherwise, a cute place as far as décor is concerned. I hope the idiot that owns this place reads this review, maybe he will understand why there were no patrons in this place midday.

I regrettingly walked into this shop while I was spending a very pleasant evening with a lady friend I am seeing. And I was buying a milkshake for myself and ice cream for her, and was having a regular convorsation with the man working(did not get a name). Part of the conversation was even joking about how she keeps wanting to pay for things but I wouldn’t let her lol. Let me get to my point. We walked from there to safeway and as we walk in, the shopowner runs up and accuses us of stealing some candy! Now, the pretty average milkshake WAS overpriced lol but… please. Stealing candy? Both I and her are successful people who grew up and work in the area. He had the police with him who searched her whole purse and person, of course there was nothing there. He embarassed us in the middle of Safeway and did not even apologize. Ruined the whole day. Go to the Noble Folk Ice Cream and Pie Bar on the other side of the square… trust me.

The soda syrups were very tasty. The strawberry soda, in particular, tasted like drinking a cup of macerated strawberries. Yum!

This was ok. We ordered pizza bagels for the kids, a salad and a veggie sandwich. While the sandwich was very good, the pizza bagels, for almost $ 6 each, were pretty bland(and full of tomato sauce that my kids did not like), and the salad was very mediocre. We also got the kids root beer floats that they definitely enjoyed. The staff was overall nice, but when I had to go outside to discipline my younger son and my older son joined us, with root beer still in hand, I thought it was strange when the staff member followed us out to scold my son for taking his glass out of the store. As if he was going to steal it? The other half of our party(with responsible adult) were still inside! It was strange. We’ll probably find another place to enjoy a lunch and dessert next time we are in town.

Absolutely loved the chowder! Paninis and pizza bagels were good too. It was our first time trying an egg cream and it was delicious.

The coffee sucked, too expensive, and was too hot. The layout of the place was nice. The art was cool.

The worst attitude I’ve ever encounter from a barista, ever. Such a cute café, and I just wanted some ice cream, but decided to not deal with the bad attitude and head down the street to noble fork. So glad cause i got the most phenomenal passion fruit ice cream with fabulous service. So may be I should thank the girl with the attitude. Or not. Do not go.

When I first walked into blackbird, I was instantly reminded of the previous establishment, Snowbunny. After looking at the menu, I was happy to see that sandwiches were now being offered in addition to frozen yogurt. I ordered the turkey and cranberry panini and it was really good. Everything tasted fresh, and I’ll definitely be back again to try something else. This is definitely a good lunch spot, and is nice that it’s right on the plaza.

This is an excellent café! I’ve been wanting to visit for a while, but never got around to it before today! The staff is great– friendly, personable, and happy to help you find the perfect coffee drink or lunch. I’ve only had coffee here, but I’ve heard from others around me that the food is delicious! Bagels, paninis, giant soft pretzels, and specializing in frozen yogurt! Mmm! Just walking into the café makes me hungry! And if you’re not hungry yet, looking at your neighbors’ food will make you hungry in no time! The atmosphere is comfortable, clean, and open– tables & chairs along the wall, and great big windows looking across to the Healdsburg Plaza. It’s a perfect place to come and do work on your computer, sit & write, or meet up with friends. Convenient locations, great staff, delicious coffee, tasty looking food, and a relaxing atmosphere– I’d definitely recommend, and I’ll certainly be back!
