I love this place. Always greeted with a smile and service is out of this world. The food is phenomenal as well. The lunch buffet is amazing, affordable, and always has something new to try. If you’ve never had Indian food before, this is the best place to start! Whether you stop in for lunch or dinner, they will treat you like a personal guest and give you the tour of the different foods that they have. I can’t stress enough how much of a treasure this restaurant is!

Excellent and authentic Indian food! I am familiar with Indian food in the US and in India. This one is truly great. Service was prompt and courteous, with several checks to see if we wanted anything else.

Years ago I was studying in Cambridge, MA and I made friends with a man from New Delhi who flew his family over for a week. I was treated to dinner one night where he had rented a townhouse to accommodate his family. His wife prepared an amazing dinner for a party of 10. My lunch here tasted very similar – the spices were authentic and tasty. Highly recommended.

Delicious, friendly and accommodating. The owner was so nice. He brought out appetizer chicken tikka gratis and then afterwards gave us dessert for free as well. The food was delicious and just the right amount of spiciness for everyone. The naan bread was yummy and all the sauces were so well balanced and flavorful. This is a winning restaurant. You can’t go wrong here.

Dont let the location fool you! I come to heath once a week for work and I must say one of the best places around here. Never had anything like it before and the staff is great and super helpful in explaining everything for first timers. This is a must go if you are in town and in the mood for trying something new!

Not sure what to say here, tough call, torn between 3 and 4. Used to be wonderful, food is still very good but buffet never was good frankly, what made up for it was the ability to order mix & match which was sort of like a buffet but fresh vs sitting under a lamp, plus it was available for dinner which buffets are not. You’d get to try tandoori plus 4 other chef selected dishes and naan. Now that that is gone, trying to oder off the menu to get what that was cost over $ 100 tonight. Should you drive in from Columbus? I used to say yes, now I’m not sure, thinking not, there are some very good Indian restaurants in Columbus and this is something that definitely made it worth the drive, now discontinued. Will I go back? Yes but probably to get a couple things off the menu, meanwhile hit Aab Bexley’s better buffet I am sorry to say. The service is still great here, it’s just that it’s too high a price point to get the variety of dishes, and that was a huge selling point really, to people who want to try a variety of items without the full cost of ordering(and definitely partially wasting) 4 – 5 meals if you don’t like buffets as much.

I have never had Indian food before i came here with my buddy. We told the waiter, who was an extremely nice and polite gentleman, that neither of us had ate Indian food before. He then proceeded to MAKEUS a special that had a variety of eight dishes, all of which were delicious. We never had empty glasses. The manager came every 15 minutes or so to make sure everything was okay, which it was. I would definitely come back here.

The food was phenomenal. The staff was wonderful, more then willing to help you pick out something if your not familiar with the cuisine. This was my husbands birthday dinner and it did not disappoint. Great prices to boot.

The best Indian Restaurant in Columbus. The service and hospitality they provide is really awesome. We had samosa chat, saag, dal, allo mutter, onion kulcha and Garlic Naan. All the dishes were really awesome. Restaurant owner even showed me the kitchen and i was amazed to see it so clean.

Great food and service, first time here! The chicken curry was my favorite of the dishes we tried. Will be back the next time I’m in town and will have to give some lamb a try.

This is a fantastic little unexpected gem off the beaten path. Upon arrival we were cheerfully greeted from across the dining room by whom I assume was the owner. This made us feel like our business was important right off the bat. The waiter was very friendly and attentive throughout the service. We were given a curried chicken soup as an amuse bouche which is atypical of Indian restaurants. While we waited for our mains, to my delight, the waiter brought us complimentary mango lassis! Our meals were excellent and we were even able to chose the level of spice. Hot was actually fairly hot, which isn’t always the case. After dinner we received another freebie — a small portion of rice pudding. I couldn’t believe it! Total bill for my husband and I — $ 25. You really can’t beat that. Ambience: It’s not super fancy, but it’s updated and it’s clean. Strongly recommend. Recommended dishes: Chicken Vindaloo Chicken Tikka Masala Garlic Naan Mango Lassi

My dad is a fan of this place, so my boyfriend and I met him there on a Saturday. It was surprisingly empty for around 1 pm. The waiter was kind and attentive though. I wasn’t super hungry, so I ordered two small things from the menu, the paneer pakora and the paneer kulcha naan, while the others had the buffet. I liked the naan. It was pretty thin, but it tasted good and I finished it all, unlike the paneer. The paneer was way spicier than anticipated. I’m not sure what spices they used, but it didn’t work for any of us. Neither did the sauces that came with it. My dad said the food usually tastes better, but my boyfriend wasn’t very impressed with the buffet and said it wasn’t very warm. So all in all, not terrible, but I probably won’t be visiting again.

I was initially weary of a place that is connected to a 2 star hotel. Glad I took a chance as this place is great! The service is beyond prompt, they are willing to assist if you are not sure about dishes. And actually, my server even brought out the second dish that I decided to pass on, just to taste it anyways! The spice level is at your choosing, going up to authentic and as non spicy as you’d like. I never see many people in this place; I sure hope it sticks around, a great addition to the area!

Very authentic, friendly and attentive. I absolutely loved the customer service here. When we first came, they greeted us with complimentary soup which my 9 year old loved so much they gave her seconds. I ordered the lamb curry and she ordered the chicken tandoori. I wish I could tell you what he ordered but for the life of me I can’t remember. Just trust me, the lamb curry was slap! They brought us one original and one garlic bread. I wish I asked for 2 garlic because I’d seriously get fat eating that entire basket if they’d let me. We had left overs that my daughter insisted taking to school for lunch the next day. Before getting the bill, they even have us this rice pudding(once again complimentary) which made me feel question all other restaurants(come on, free appetizer and dessert?). Next time, I plan on trying the lunch buffet. They’ll probably kick me out. Worth it.

My husband and I absolutely love Indian food. We rarely stray from Cumin in the Polaris/Columbus area, but we saw all the Unilocal reviews for this restaurant and we said we had to try it. Pulling up to see it attached to an Econo Lodge motel, I told my husband, that I wasn’t going in with high hopes. And let me say — I was sorely wrong! We were immediately greeted at the door with a big warm smile and hello, and as soon as we were seated we were immediately brought water and a cup of this spicy chicken soup, and this was before menus were brought to us. We got to enjoy our soup for about 5 minutes and then we were greeted by the bartender who dropped off menus and got another drink for us… The menu has all your standard fare, and then some other nice offerings. Our hostess asked if we’d like more soup and we said yes! It was a very chilly night and it really warmed us up. 5* on the soup alone :) Ordered our regular food, and there was a little disconnect as my husband’s food came out almost 10 minutes before mine did so I just watched him eat. Understand it was merely a timing issue, and once I got my food, it was worth the wait. I ordered the Chicken Korma, and I love things very spicy. On a scale of 1 – 10 for Indian food heat — I like a solid 8⁄9. Our server said that the Korma tended to be sweet and not spicy, but he was more than happy to alter the spiciness. My husband said my face got bright red, and he did not disappoint, it was truly an 8 – 9 on the spice level. But whereas some places just make stuff hot — to inflict pain, this was very spicy, but balanced and still tasted really good. The portions are gigantic as well. The brought a few sides of rice, and the garlic butter naan was wonderful and fluffy and hot! We also had 2 mango lassies to help cool off from the spice and they were really tasty as well. I can honestly say that I don’t remember having as good of service as good as this place in a long time. We had 4 different people checking up on us, making sure we were happy and that we wanted for nothing, filling our water glasses, brought us a small pitcher of soda that we were both drinking. The food here rivals that of the Columbus restaurants. After they clear your plates, they bring you a rice pudding dessert which was also included like the soup. I am an Indian food snob, I also work with people from India who bring in their home cooked food all the time, and I can say — that A Taste Of India has added 2 new regulars from us! Highly Highly recommend them… We were so pleased with our service, that we left a near 90% tip as a true thanks to having such excellent customer service/satisfaction. While we don’t normally do this, we wanted the business to know how pleased we were. Until next time :)

I’m torn… I want there to be Indian food in my neighborhood… But I don’t want that Indian food to be gross. The saag wasn’t even green… It was kind of a gray sage color… This tells me it’s probably way overcooked. I appreciate their effort and how difficult it must be to open up an Indian restaurant in Heath Ohio, but I just wish they used fresh ingredients and put love into their food.
