We booked our room through Travelocity with their discount hotel program. The room was clean but dated, especially the box tv. The pool was clean and the kids enjoyed it and the very hot hot tub which was a pleasant bonus after hiking all day at Unicoi State Park. The front desk guy was professional although I got the impression he wasn’t one to budge much in a problem situation. Luckily, we didn’t have to see him again. He told us 7 times during check in there was no pets allowed, even though we weren’t trying to bring in a pet. Ok, that plus all the signs screaming it at us as soon as we walked in… got the point. The bed was more comfortable than expected, as were the pillows. We didn’t have a problem with noise. I would return… just make sure it’s without a pet!

PLEASEREAD: I tried hard to like this place — but two stars is gracious. We booked through booking and it was 189 for three nights, but it was not worth it. Apparently half of the rooms have been redone, but we got stuck with a bad room. It was dirty, looked old, and did not have a microwave. We found german roaches in the nightstand, and that was the last straw for me. The hotel is managed by an indian family, and we could hear their kids screaming from our room. After one night, we went to the desk to see if we could see another room and possibly stay there, but it was just as bad. Upon asking for a refund, and asking when the hot tub would be fixed, we were told that it is seasonal and we should be happy we’re able to use the pool area at all. That was it for me. We got 115 back and ended up paying $ 74 for one night, which is pricey for what it was, but worth it so we could find some place nicer. I came to Helen on vacation, and the Jameson Inn did not feel like it at all. Trust me, please go somewhere else. I ended up at the Country Inn and it is much better.

After hiking Tallulah Falls with my other half, we needed a cheap, comfortable room that wasn’t too far. Helen, GA is such a cute European-looking town with a beautiful river flowing straight through the town. Jameson Inn was a good choice. Not expensive and the bed was SO comfortable!!! I’d stay here again, for sure.
