Cool atmosphere and good drinks. The band that played was really good. This is a great place to watch any game.

First I have to say I would give this place 4 stars when I stopped on Friday, relaxed atmosphere great view and decent food. The $ 5 beer refill is the best deal in town. Went on a hike to a local waterfall and thought we would have a late lunch and drinks, $ 5 dollar cover charge ok not thrilled but ok had a good time yesterday. It was basically a club at 2AM, no place to sit after ordering food. We had to stakeout people we thought were leaving, got seats and the party wraps around you and sees your eating and the lets smoke now light goes on. Being open air smoking is allowed but 80% of the patrons where hammered chain smokers, honestly you will never see me there on a Saturday again. Any other day of the week great place, the kicker was the(Fur Bus) pull in and unload another rowdy crew. To much party for me.

Hands down best place to visit while in Helen — for the atmosphere. Food is good, not fantastic. It’s just bar food. But they have entertainment on weekend nights, and they have delicious«adult icees». There’s no place in Helen like it. We’ve visited randomly on weekends, or to watch football games, and for Octoberfest. It’s always a good time.

Super good burger and popcorn shrimp. Slightly over priced but very yummy Parking in the back free for restaurant patrons. View of river is great and really like this place. Will go back for sure

Really like this open-air place on the river. Nothing special about it — but the live music was good, the beer was cheap and there are a ton of TV’s(great for Saturday/Sunday football afternoons). Food was blah — tried the Ham & Cheese and some other sandwich(that memorable). Ordering was easy — as you go up to the counter — then they call your number over a PA when your food is ready. I appreciate being able to sit where I want and not have to wait on a server.

We have been here almost every year for Oktoberfest and always make this one of the places to go. This year, 11:30am, four of us walked over to have lunch and a beer and was asked to pay a $ 5 cover charge for a band that didn’t even start until 4pm and we could come back until 1am. WHAT? $ 5 cover to eat lunch? We had no interest in staying there until 4 or coming back before 1am. What a ripoff to hit people up for a cover charge just to buy your fast food and beer. They lost upwards of $ 100 revenue because we were not paying $ 20 just to walk in to a covered patio. A cover charge this early is plain ridiculous. I won’t go here for lunch or a game ever again. We found another place to watch the game and eat lunch and they did not charge a cover. This place is just using Oktoberfest to rip people off. Shame on the City of Helen for allowing its business to scalp people who are here to visit their city.

Love this place. Cheap beer great view. Nice location. I have ate here once and it was pretty good but we mainly go here for the beer. If you buy a cup for 12 dollars you can get refills of beer for 5 bucks. Imported beer is 7. You can take your cup anytime and get a refill no matter what day it is. Amazing!!! Just found this out. Great place and friendly staff.

This was a good spot for some beers and hang out a bit. Luckily, the people in our cabin left their mugs for us to refill. Definitely a steal for $ 5 instead of the $ 12 so it was worth it. The food was average and a little pricey. Beer was cold and cheap so we couldn’t complain.

We had a blast. This place is hella cheap($ 15 for three drinks) and $ 2 for two orders of fries shared around the table. We sat on some uncomfortable bar stools and watched folks tube down the river. There was a live band(playing both kinds of music, country AND western) which was really pretty good. If the seating had been more comfortable, I would have stayed longer and drank more. I left just to get off the bar stool.

20 minutes to get an appetizer and it wasn’t really very appetizing. The margaritas are pretty good, but when I went, the service was so slow that I could only enjoy one.

We came here on a brisk fall day. This is a large building with one side having tables and chairs, and the other side has order counter food. There were those tall warming devices at the end of each counter /table row. There are seats overlooking the river. There is outdoor seating also. A large place that would/could be ideal for a beer garden — and may very well be during the summer. We ordered a couple burgers and a cold bock We kept warm, enjoyed our food and drink and motored on. The only downside for us was that smoking was permitted in the structure.

We came to Paul’s during Oktoberfest, and we had a lot of fun. We had to pay $ 5 to get in(which I’m never a fan of, but whatever). There are plenty of seats indoors and outdoors, live music, and 2 bars(one with beer only, another with hard alcohol as well). There are also heat lamps outside, which really come in handy since it gets pretty cool out there in the fall. It was pretty crowded, and at one point we had to «fight» to get a seat. But overall the bartenders were nice, and they had a good selection of drinks. I wouldn’t say they have a great selection of food, but they do have some bar snacks. Overall, I would come back!

We just stopped by after doing some offroading with friends in the mountains nearby. Didn’t have dinner but did grab some onion rings. Prices were ok – what do expect for a tourist location like Helen GA? If you want cheap drinks, don’t go to a tourist-oriented bar in a tourist town. Go five miles down the road to a local dive joint and you’ll find plenty of $ 3.50 beers. Here, you get what they advertise: Margaritas and other frozen libations(and $ 4+ beer). I wouldn’t call this location someplace you’d take the wife to for a romantic dinner(it’s definitely not that), but if you’re looking for a cool, extremely casual bar(you have to go get your own drinks and food), with live music, and a nice view of the river from the huge open deck, then this is a cool place to go to.

Great view of the river(this is the high point of my review), the food is expensive for what you could get at Wendy’s, the while place is smoking, and the booze is as expensive as at a professional baseball stadium. I would not go back!
