Delta Cultural Center

The Delta Cultural Center is at the heart of so many wonderful events in Helena and Phillips County. The current installation, «Songs from the Field,» is one of my favorites at the Visitor Center, but Ft. Curtis and the newly revamped Battery C Park, which they manage, are also at the top of the list.
I’m neither a Civil War nor a blues buff, but experiences like the 150^th Anniversary of the Battle of Helena re-​enactment and listening to «Sunshine» Sonny Payne deliver his 17,000^th King Biscuit Time broadcast have brought both much closer to my heart over the past several years.
Note: there are two «museum» locations for the DCC. The Visitor Center is at 141 Cherry Street, but the Depot, which houses Civil War exhibits, is just a block away at 95 Missouri Street.

This museum is world class. I’ll say more later. I’m tired.
