This Chinese place has a buffet bar inside with rice noodles and different meats including pork, chicken, and beef. The have egg rolls with pork and shrimp. The bar is small and it’s not big like your average Chinese place. The lady that works there is very nice and polite. We don’t eat pork so she assisted us with what items where pork and chicken at the buffet bar and suggested we order off the menu so we did. We wanted the vegetable egg rolls, General Tso Chicken and Sesame Chicken with white rice. And I want to say this in the most honest and respectful way I can. The vegetable egg rolls had shrimp in them. I don’t eat shrimp and I was stuffing this down until my body spoke to me. So we couldn’t eat our egg rolls. Then the food had familiar dead odor that I remember but I could be just paranoid. I knew immediately what the smell reminded me of so I asked my wife what her thoughts were. She said the food smell like it was cooked in old grease. It had a strong odor smell that was hard to eat! I’m not saying the Chinese place are cooking rodents since we all know we can be judgmental from what we have heard and seen on TV. I am saying it smells like burnt rats. It triggered a memory when I stayed in a house and we had rat problems. Me and my boys would catch these rats alive and burn them and when we did it was an odor I would never forget. I can describe the smell but that’s what the food SMELLS like. I am not saying that’s what it is but that’s what it smells like. I tasted the food and it was hard for me to eat because the smell kept triggering this memory and was making me sick on the stomach. My wife didn’t eat much because she state the smell was just too much! Maybe it’s the grease and they new to change it out more often. There were people coming and going into this place like it’s the spot in Helena but for me it wasn’t all that great. The lady was very nice and I really appreciate the customer service. Based off this experience I can’t eat here again!
