Highly recommended. Carl (the owner) was willing to listen to me and address a concern I had with the window mechanism. He and his crew took the door back apart, found the problem I was concerned about, and made the repair, avoiding a return trip for us and hassle. Paint work was excellent in quality as well. Car was cleaned and looking great when we picked it up. This crew does good work — give them a try.

So I explained the situation over the phone, where I needed an estimate to fix a horrible paint job. Came in like they asked, explained what they did and the guy wouldn’t even do an estimate saying he didn’t want to get involved. Waste of my time driving down here! I explained it on the phone, and they said sure. Get here and the guy said he’s afraid of someone in the middle of making a small claims court! Obviously
He doesn’t have confidence in his people!

Let me summarize by saying that Helotes Collision is awesome!
My interaction with Helotes Colision started when a lady in front of me started to go at a yield sign and then abruptly stopped for a reason that I do not understand since there was nobody coming. That is another point altogether, so I digress. The lady was driving a Ford F150 and I was driving an Acura sedan. I rear ended her going about 10 mph. Thankfully nobody was hurt. Her truck had virtually no damage except a small scratch and my car was near totaled evidently.
Based on a quick Unilocal search, I told my insurance company I wanted to use Helotes Colision. Although my front end was crumpled, I was able to drive the car there myself. Helotes Colision was very polite and told me they would provide me an estimate asap.
Long story short, I received my car back from them five weeks later in like new condition. They called me multiple times to keep me updated on the cars progress. They were perfectly honest throughout the entire process. Getting in a car accident and being without your car is very frustrating, fortunately though dealing with Helotes Colision was a pleasure.
== Update — May 2014 ==
Three months later I was driving down the road and my car started over heating. I called Helotes Colision and asked them if the problem could be related to the work they did. They said to bring the car on in and they will take a look. They said as far as they are concerned, my car was their baby. They diagnosed the temperature problem to be a manufacture defective radiator. They worked with the manufacturer to get the problem fixed. They also provided me with a rental car while they fixed the problem. Their customer service and care is phenomenal.
All I can say is that Helotes Collision is 100% awesome. I highly recommend them.

This was our third experience with them. We had our two Lexus in their shop three times in the past two years. Each time we were very pleased with the way they handled the repairs and all the ancillary tasks associated with obtaining rental cars for us and dealing with insurance companies. The actual repairs to our vehicles were flawless. They are extremely competent. We had to do nothing but drop off and pick up our cars when the repairs were completed. The owners become personally involved and the managers make certain that all the small details are taken care of. I highly recommend this repair shop.

They fixed my 2004 Chevy Tahoe damage in one day. I had been down in Rockport and had the terrible experience of hitting a very large dog who ran out in front of me. I love dogs and this broke my heart. At any rate, these guys are the best in the Helotes area. I believe the craftsman who took care of me was Fidencio. He is a top notch body man!!! It was a flawless repair. I told them I was paying out of my own pocket and they only charged me $ 180 for the full fix. My bumper was warped, the plastic front fascia was ripped from it’s mount and the fender was bent in, nearly touching the front tire. I should note, they had to pull the front fender back into proper position and no actual painting was required. They also had to «heat gun» the fender flare to get it back into position and I think they had to realign the front bumper. I absolutely will go back here again, although I hope to never again hit a dog.

I’ve had my van repaired here twice. The staff is very friendly and professional. Both jobs were excellent. They dealt with the insurance company, drove me home and to get a rental car, perfect service. I would highly recommend them.

I recently had work done to my Mini Cooper after a minor hit and run damaged my hood. The staff at Helotes Collision Center had my car fixed in less than a week, and I was extremely pleased with the quality of work done. The new paint on the hood was flawless, and the new hood stripes looked great. I would recommend them to anyone needing body work done to their vehicle.

I just had work done here and I was very, very pleased with this family-​owned business. The work they did was done very well and they were pretty quick about it to. I really felt like they were being very honest and straightforward with me.
