Fowler’s Books

This was a very nice little bookstore. It was very clean and the books are well organized and in great condition. I came in to purchase some children’s books for my little ones. They did not have a huge selection but there was enough to sit and look though. I thought it was nice that they had a little play table with blocks for toddlers/​preschoolers to play while parents look around.
I personally felt that they were a little too expensive. One child board book was just a quarter or so less than the original «brand new» price. And other children’s books were the exact same price as purchasing brand new. I was hoping to be able to buy a lot of books for my kids but the prices really disappointed me. I ended up walking out of there with only two books.
I didn’t really get a chance to look around at the other books, but from my quick glance around it looked as though they mostly carried the short paperback books. They did have a $ 0.99 table that was full of good deals though and they were very friendly.

A good place to find some rare or old books. There’s a bit of a charm to this place and the few times I’ve gone to find some good deals on some hard to find or used books, I’ve had a good experience.

Fowler’s Books has an excellent selection of genre books, science fiction, fantasy, horror, western, adventure and romance, as well as many other subject areas. To their credit they have a good range of books by lesser known but still good authors. They have a great DVD selection to look through. It’s out of the way and the hours can be a little quirky on the weekends but they’re worth a stop in. They have a great friendly staff there and it’s what a good used book store should be.

One of my favorite things to do is wander slowly through a used book store with a few bucks in my pocket. I’ve got more books than bookshelves, but still I crave more… That’s why I was very very pleased to discover Fowler’s Books in Hemet. This is a great used bookstore! The prices are fair and if your buying a few books they may even give you a break on the pricier items.(I would imagine a bit of haggling could be done here as well, but I haven’t tried it.) ;-)
The place is well organized by subject matter and author. Their are some new books, but the gold is in the copious used selection. There are a wide assortment of subjects to peruse! A very decent selection of used DVDs can be found at Fowler’s as well.
All this and a very friendly, polite and helpful staff make for an enjoyable trip to the book store.
