PLEASENOTE: this business has another Unilocal page with numerous negative reviews on it under the same name, in Hemet, CA. It says the business«has moved”(though still within Hemet) and this is now their new, clean page. Feels deceiving. If I could give NEGATIVESTARS, I absolutely would. I do NOT like to give reviews like this. But one of the benefits of Unilocal is to help others from your experience, so here goes … I used this business one year ago through Angie’s List and it was decent. I used it again this October(without checking Unilocal — my fault!) and it was a DISASTER from beginning to end. SCHEDULING/PAYMENT ISSUES: It took 16 emails back and forth with Nicole to schedule my cleaning. I was told that Anthony would call me for the $ 285 payment. No call came. i called Anthony to make the payment. That took several calls as they rarely answer the phone. I was told I would get a confirmation call the day before. Since I was planning on driving 2 hours to this location for the cleaning and no call came, I called to confirm the day before. Cherie the owner, informed me that I was not on the schedule. Of course! I sent Cherie the series of emails confirming my appt several weeks before, to which she complained to me about her employee Nicole. Then in a less than helpful tone, she said she would see what she could do. She called back stating that she would meet her commitment though it sounded like she was doing me a big favor. CLEANINGISSUES: I was told by Cherie that the cleaners would call as they left their prior appt. No call came. During the cleaning I learned that one of the two cleaners was«training» and this was her first day. That’s probably why she didn’t move anything on the kitchen counters and just wiped around things. And why she didn’t clean the baseboards in the living room. Similar lack of professional cleaning was noted throughout the house. I was told that I would get 2 cleaners for up to 4 hours(yes — that’s $ 35+/hour). We were the last appt of the day and the cleaners left 30 minutes early. Had I noticed all of the cleaning mistakes in the moment, I would have asked them to stay. But it’s difficult to notice those details as they are walking out the door. POSTCLEANINGISSUES: Upon noticing the issues with the cleaning, I called Cherie and asked if we could work something out. I would have been happy if the cleaners could have come back at a mutually agreed upon time to finish what hadn’t been done. Cherie gave me the run around for a week with needing to talk to some business partner who was out of town. Really? This is not difficult stuff IF you care about your customers. I continued to follow-up with her and she just deferred. Her attitude was agitated and not customer friendly. I got tired of calling and tracking her down to no avail. I put a deadline on working something out and she basically said if I didn’t like the service, oh well. «Have a nice day(sarcastic)!» SUMMARY: Learn from my lesson and those of numerous other very unhappy customers on Smart Clean’s other Unilocal page. DONOTUSE. Who needs this kind of hassle and attitude when you’re trying to give someone your business??? There are many legitimate, hard working and APPRECIATIVE businesses to deal with for cleaning or really anything. USETHEM. They deserve the business and you deserve the pleasant experience. You will NOT get that with Smart Clean out of Hemet.
