*** Pit stop review (Hemet) ***
Good place to pull over to rest and have some lunch at the deli. This is a newer looking facility with a large parking lot.
Here’s what I liked…
* This is a really nice clean looking store.
* Safe looking area with the small-​town feel with really friendly employee’s and store patrons.
Here’s what I didn’t like…
* Parking was super crowded. Had to go to the furthest point on the opposite end of the parking lot to find space.
Food = Deli chicken was disappointing. Really dry. Really missed the mark.
Shopping area = very clean
Service = friendly
Restroom = clean

Everything we need, Almost, but couldn’t find non-​GMO corn products. Monsanto took my fav. Food away. I think their brand cereal is GMO free. Not sure.

Nice store with pleasant staff. But as a handicapped person who needs the assistance of the Electric Carts they fail miserably. Either always out or broken machines. If they have so many clients who need then they need more machines. In the past 3 weeks I’ve had to wait more than 30 minutes for a cart. Very frustrating. In addition they make you walk all the way into the store to get a key and then walk back outside to the carts. Not very assisting for people who need it.

This is the nicest Stater Brothers I have ever been to. In North County we have a large variety of grocery stores. Here in Hemet there are a limited number (Sprouts, Fresh N Easy, Stater Brothers, Windco, and Walmart). All of the staff provide excellent customer service. They offer to help you to your car. The bakery offers a variety of choices (all look fresh and delicous). This store also has 2 Red Box machines inside. I have never waited in line an extended period of time (they open checkouts as the line grows).

Clean store, friendly staff. I am in love with the fact they will make homemade corn chips if you call ahead. Very very good!
I usually have a positive experience here, wish it was a bit more fancy, but it works!

I have to stop here each time we visit Hemet, simply to enjoy Stater Bros. There aren’t any near me in San Diego. I am 100% pleased with this location. Over the top customer service! Thank you~see you in a couple of weeks.

This is the second year I have ordered a cake at this store and they both came out looking like I had a professional decorate them… see my photos! Other then that… well it’s a clean Stater Bros in Hemet…

I shop here all the time because it’s the closest to my house. Service is friendly but it’s busy almost all the time which is an annoyance for parking and line-​waiting times. Still, they usually have what I need for a reasonable price.

This Stater Bros is wayyyyy better than the one on Florida and Sanderson. Way better parking, better customer service and not shady people hanging around. Yes, Sprouts is right across the street but when you’re broke like me, Stater Bros is perfect. They have good deals and you don’t need a card!

My favorite Staters! Great butchers, great cashiers. Prices are good, produce is always well stocked. It’s clean and since they added the security guard outside, the parking lot is a whole lot nicer.

The two reviewers proceeding me are right, this place can be kind of shady. The panhandling/​begging is pretty out of control. You will get approached coming out of/​going back to your vehicle. Just tell them no. Seems to work for me. Stop bitching about it.
The store itself is decent. Except for the tiny ass aisles. What is with Stater Bros. and the aisles being slightly narrower than two carts placed side by side? Every store I’ve ever been to has the same design. Just give us another two inches in one direction. How about towards the produce section? Why does that area have to be the size of a ballroom but I have to squeeze by people sideways to get to the jars of spaghetti sauce?
The registers are a crapshoot. Sometimes it’s a breeze to get out of there, other times you’re waiting twenty minutes holding a gallon of orange juice and a can of coffee because one FREAKING register is open!!! I will say, though, that they will call in the troops and try to get the masses through without a stampede.
Aside from the paupers and vagabonds using what must be the area’s last operating pay phone, you do have the winners smoking right next to the door. I can deal with people hitting me up for change or a prostitute screaming into a pay phone that she needs a ride to a party, but please, do not stand next to the doors while puffing on a 100. I smoke. I’m aware of the social stigma attached to smoking. That is why i smoke on my patio away from other people. Not these folks. To them it’s still 1950’s Chicago; toking away and blowing smoke near the entrance.
Last thing I have to say about this place can be said about any market in any city in the country. The cart return. This parking lot is littered with stray carts. They are propped up in the planters and sitting loosely in parking stalls. Nothing like pulling into a parking stall and coming inches from a shopping cart that some lazy SOB left there. I’ve got news for you. The cart return area is not infested with land mines. There’s not a cloud of pepper spray surrounding it. You’re not in danger if you walk your lazy ass an extra twenty feet to put the cart where it belongs. Think about how little sense this practice makes. You walk to the cart pickup area, you walk the cart through the store then back to your car. I can guarantee you pass two returns on the way to the car but walking it over there is just waaaaaay too much effort. The worst is the parents instructing their kids to just leave them in the lot.
Whew. Got a little out of hand there but it is a huge issue.
OK. Staters. Decent store. Crappy atmosphere. But you’re not gonna get raped walking from your car to the store so shop with confidence. Just put your cart back where it belongs.

If I’m in the area, I’d rather go to Sprouts. Sometimes though, Sprouts is way overpriced or doesn’t carry what I need.
I usually only run in here for beer or other small items.
The registers are pretty busy, the store is clean, and the staff is helpful.
I’m not sure why, but SB always has packed registers. Not cool.

The store is very clean. Have practically everything you need prices are good, staff could be better but the lines are riddicolus :-/​takes forever to get out of the store.

The store itself is fine, but the clientele here is terrible. If you’re not on parole or probation, you’ll feel very out of place.
I got hit up by a beggar, while getting out of my car. I then went into the store and saw the likes of the other customers. I became concerned that one of them might shank me when my back was turned. When it was time to checkout, I had to stand in line behind a bunch of people using EBT cards. The clerk looked at me like I was from Mars when I paid with cash.
Then on the way back to my car, I stopped to take a storefront photo and a panhandler walked right into my shot to ask for change (see the photo, if you don’t believe me).
What the heck happened to Hemet?
And why doesn’t Staters care enough about its customers to hire security officers?
