Legit tacos, friendly staff.

A great stop when I head from College Station to my ranch near Weimar, Texas. I cannot pass through Hempstead without stopping here for breakfast tacos and menudo. With Tejano music blaring through the grocery store and the sent of fresh baked good floating in the air, all to serve as a great backdrop to fantastic breakfast tacos. The food is located to the rear and right in this Latino market. The variety of entrees are visible in the cafeteria style set up.
The barbacoa is moist and tender. Chicharrons and carnitas absolutely amazing. All great fillings for a variety of available tacos served on corn or flour tortillas. The menudo is well flavoured and very filling. The tripas has absorbed much of the chili and very good.
