I had a little bit of an emergency this morning, I had made a 9am appointment in Mineola and the salon wasn’t open so I Unilocaled a nearby salon that could do braids. Feeling Kardashian inspired, I decided to go with two French braids. This salon did not take appointments but I went pretty early like 9:50am and got helped within ten min. I got Cany who is also the owner, she was sweet and really efficient! My braids came out awesome and it was very affordable at $ 15.00 I will definitely be back!

Hands down the best salon I have ever been to!
Cany REALLY knows hair and cares about the well being and hair health of each and every client as though it were her own hair she was working with. We did balayage highlights. She did a test piece before we started to make sure it wouldn’t cause any damage (I relax my hair) .You may not believe this but I had NO BREAKAGE! That’s right. None. Didn’t even need a trim after. My hair is just as soft and manageable if not better than before I had it done.
The color is vibrant and well placed.
Cany asked me every step of the way what I wanted to make sure I was satisfied with the end result. Can’t keep count of the number of compliments I have received and ppl who asked for the salon information.
Can’t even begin to tell you the journey I had trying to find a GOOD Dominican salon. Even better she is honest, sweet, and reasonably priced.

This is by far the best Dominican beauty salon you can go to. Not only is canny great as what she does the level of service is superb. I normally get my hair wash and set there Canny recommended me to go natural a few months ago and I’m transitioning. I went there yesterday to get 2 cornrows and wanted to look natural with braiding hair. She normally start with the braiding hair, and I did not want that lump from the braiding hair. I’m not a easy client to deal with. I showed her a 10 sec YouTube video and she perfected it and braided my hair better than I expected, been getting lots of compliments as who braided my hair. I would recommend Canny because of her patience, great service and knowledge about hair. I will be posting some pictures of my braids soon.

My new favorite salon. I called first to inquire about their services and I was pleasantly surprised by the professionalism and friendliness of the conversation. My hair was done by Larissa and she was perfect during every step of the process. If you are lucky enough to get her to do your hair, appreciate her while you can because I have every intention of convincing her to relocate to the Pacific Northwest where she can brighten the lives of women who have been desperately searching for a Dominican salon for years in this area.
Until then, I’ll make regular visits to NY to see her at the salon.

My favorite hair place. This is the only place I trust with my hair. You’re in and out in about an hour on a good day and max 2 on a busy one. All the ladies are great but my favorites are Larissa and Cany. They’re sweet and they really know hair.
The best thing about them, they’re open on Mondays when everybody else is closed in the area. They are closed on Tuesdays though so plan your visit around that. Love them!

The only Dominican hair salon I go to! I love everyone in here. 4 stations and they really take care of you here.
Cany is a sweetheart and super talented. They do a variety of styles here. I even bring my 2 year old here and they treat her like a little princess. She loves getting her hair done – whether it be flat twist or braids… It always comes out looking super cute.
They close on Tuesdays and are open every other day. Super convenient and close to home. I have recommended anyone I know who likes to get wash & sets to come here and they keep on coming. So if you start, you won’t stop coming. These girls become family in here.

Went to a wedding at Hempstead, New York, needed to wash and blower my hair and ended up with a beautiful hair design which everyone loved… Thanks Cany Hair Salon, first walk in at a different country, nice experience.

My hair was damaged from color done my another hair dresser, dry and falling out for over 6months. I started coming here about 2 months ago and I’ve seen major improvement in the overall health of my hair. Cany takes care of your hair and uses top of the line products. Her sister does an amazing hair washing. I now drive from Forest Hills to Uniondale every week to do my hair and it is worth it.
