Hempstead Country Inn & Suites

This small inn is such a surprise. It is obviously a facility that has age to it as it is not laid out in the sterile concrete style of today’s motels. It lies off the road surrounded by large trees and lawns. You are definitely in the country and all the positives that come with that. But the two room suite we had could not be improved upon. The rooms smelled so fresh. The carpet was new and very clean. The owner said he had owned the facility about two and a half years. It was obvious that he had put thought and money into the appearance and furnishings. The kitchen area with its full sized fridge had place settings for four people and adequate cookware to prepare a meal. The
accommodations would be perfect for a family reunion.

Comfy little place just outside Hempstead. Very quiet, nice accommodations with super comfy beds. Pet friendly, which is a requirement for us. Staff is super friendly and welcoming. We don’t hit the area often but we will definitely be staying here next time we are nearby!

What a pleasant surprise! We have stayed in our fair share of less favorable places (including large hotel chains) while traveling through the south. Finding the Country Inn was a breather and joy. We were greeted by the husband and wife who own and run the Inn. They went out of their way to make sure our accommodations were as comfortable as possible. The room we stayed in was VERY clean and comfortable. The room was stocked with all luxuries of a modern day hotel room (microwave, fridge, hairdryer, coffee maker, etc). We also had wonderful WiFi and Direct TV in our room. Not only was the room and owners so amazing, but the property upon which the hotel stands is beautiful. Rolling in from dinner tonight we were greeted by a herd of 6+ deer. If in the area, why would you stay any where else?!

This is a charming little inn off the beaten path on a 10 acre ranch with lots of trees, horses, a nice deck to relax on with a grill available for use. Really pretty scenery. I stayed in a double queen suite, the most affordable room at a current rate of 79.99/night. It includes free wifi, a mini-​fridge, microwave, flat screen TV, and coffee maker. Not a huge room, but comfortable and very clean. Plus, the outdoor areas are so nice, that you will want to spend time lounging around outside on the deck or the hammock.
The location is just off of Highway 290.
I would definitely stay here again.
