Old guys with multiple plates/pins in their bodies(specifically arms and legs) probably should stick to the mini golf and stay away from the batting cages. The mini golf course is not particularly well cared for, albeit it’s early in the season and their are probably numerous maintenance items on the to-do list. For instance, the greens are very unkempt — torn up in places, ready for some new faux-grassy surfaces. Each hole is supposed to be numbered with a par value on it — the signs are gone for all but one or two of the holes. Batting cages — there’s a disclaimer that the pitching machines will throw both balls and strikes — it’s frustrating when many of the pitches fall short of the plate and the only chance one has of hitting the ball is on the bounce. It’s 16 pitches per token, I would think that just about everything should at least be hittable, keeping the balls to a minimum and most of the pitches in the strike zone. Oh yeah — and being that I have multiple plates and pins in my forearm, the batting cage probably wasn’t a good idea for me anyway — my daughter loved it, though, except for the many pitches that were over her head and the many pitches that fell short of the plate.
