After driving around for awhile trying hard to find the place, we finally got there to find several people there enjoying themselves. However, I thought the seating was uncomfortable. Metal Stools with no backs by the bar and benches by the windows. It was cold when we were there and the windows were cold to sit by. I think they could work on the ambiance a little bit. There is a wooden wall that is attractive! I like their logo! Their flights of beer were nice and we all enjoyed them. We were there a couple of hours. We took several pictures and they all turned out nice, the lighting was nice for taking pictures. I think breweries should be slightly darker and more quaint, but that is my personal opinion. There are many breweries popping up in Vegas, maybe the next time we are Vegas and return to Bad Beat, we will enjoy it more.

Great beer! Made locally. Complicated notes. If you haven’t been here yet, you must partake! I’m here for the limited draft release of the sorcerers stout. Yum! Crowded tonight, usually it’s not so crowded. The bathrooms are limited, however, they are clean. They have games and a tv. The décor is so natural in here a lot of wood is used for the walls and tables. They use awesome cage lights that make the place feel so… Portlandy

Cool spot, why didn’t I know about this poverty sooner. I recently heard about it when they were having a collaboration with Bad Owl Coffee(the Harry Potter themed coffeehouse that opened not too long ago.) The collaboration is «The Sorcerer’s Stout» with Bad Beat’s dry Irish stout with a single origin Ethiopian sidama coffee from Bad Owl Coffee. The result is a pleasing marriage, better than most coffee infused stouts I’ve had the opportunity to try. Now that I’ve come across this cool hideaway, I’ll need to revisit and try some of their other delectable choices. I heard their Hefeweizen is a true standout. Good work to Bad Beat & Bad Owl. I’ll be looking forward to if they release this in bottle form. You guys have earned a regular, thanks again.

This place is awesome, they have Old school Contra on the NES. It took a while to get that game to work but it got going after a few tries. The beer I was drinking was their IPA, it was SUPER hoppy. Maybe a little too hoppy for my blood but it was still good.

This is another fun brewery in this little industrial section on Eastgate. They offered a great selection of beers in a variety of sizes. We chose several 4 oz tasters, then moved onto some bigger brews and the games. They’ve got an original Nintendo system, which was awesome! Also, giant size Jenga, shuffle board and darts. We had a really good time! I also liked their little selection of Doritos, Cheetos and Fritos to snack on while we played. Great place for a fun date night or for a group of friends to meet up.

Had a great time today with my wife and mother of son on Mother’s Day. She wanted to go beer tasting and we chose Bad Beat. Great beers election. Mike behind the bar was great, knowledgable and enjoyable to tale two. Great beer.

Best beer I’ve ever had. Awesome laid-back environment. Skinny Mike is the best brew master ever. I suggest the«bluffing isn’t weisse».

Popped in on our cross country beer tasting tour. Nice little joint in an industrial center with a good, local vibe. The hefe was very good, with the right notes of clove and banana. The Gutshot Stout was real dry, with awesome coffee tones. The standout was the Weizenbock aged in Chardonnay barrels. Unique with classic malt tones, but with a nice wine follow up to make this complex offering a winner. Bought two bottles for our travels. No food, but a food truck pulled up for the evening. Prices are a bit high. Worth a stop, for sure.

Walked over here from Crafthaus Brewing. They were having a trivia game(normally live trivia on Thursdays) and it was pretty full. They also have darts, shuffleboard, and a few other things. Weekly schedule had lots of activities. Nice selection of craft beers, I went with the Bluffing isn’t Weiss Hefeweizen. A few others were out of stock which is strange. Good flavor for the Hefeweizen. A pint was only $ 5 so its a good deal as well. Strange location in an industrial area off Eastgate drive and Warm Springs. I’m glad I came down here and met fellow Unilocalers Melissa and Gregg for a few beers. I think I was expecting more businesses in this area to check out but it was pretty quiet. I’ll definitely come back and hang out with the young hipster crowds. Everyone was very nice and cool.

Walked over here last night from nearby CraftHaus Brewery to hangout with Unilocal Elite Friends Melissa C and Robert W enjoying a friendly crowded hipster trivia party while drinking cold hand-crafted creatively named ‘Ante Up Amber’ beers. *Hipster crowd in the front! **Brewery in the back! ***A fun time everywhere! Don’t come here hungry, as there is no food served; otherwise prepare to drink your dinner or be lucky to find food truck outside the building. I was lucky to enjoy Venezuelan foods from the Mr. Cooker food truck – see review. Yay! I’m a fan. See 9 photos below… Unilocal300CHALLENGE2015: #280

Although I’ve had their beers before, I finally visited Bad Beat for the first time during their«can release» event a week ago.(I put that in quotes to avoid any grammar confusion). When I’m in the area, I typically go to Crafthaus because(1) they open earlier and(2) I’m just a fan. I’m glad I made the drive. Their taproom is about the same size as Crafthaus and just as inviting. I find most taproom staff to be friendly and welcoming and Bad Beat continues that same warm hospitality. On the beer front, I loved their Morning Pay Off, which is a seasonal imperial breakfast stout that throws in some locally roasted coffee from Mothership Coffee Roasters. Quite delicious. We ended up getting taster sizes of the remainder of their offering, but the Morning Pay Off was definitely the standout. As this was their can release, we took home and are still enjoying a 6-pack of their Hoppy Times and another of their Bluffing Isn’t Weisse. So now my decision on which to visit(Crafthaus or Bad Beat) is going to be tougher. It will depend on what’s on tap and my mood.(Both is of course an option).

Yes! Another awesome little brewery in the Eastgate complex. Not only is the owner and staff totally cool, they have great beer, a couple TVs and Nintendo. Yes, NINTENDO! Classic NES in all its 8-Bit glory with a great selection of games like Zelda, Adventure of Link, Top Gun, Mike Tyson’s Punch Out, Double Dribble and a bunch of others that I forgot. Oh wait, I’m getting carried away, I’m supposed to be talking about the brewery… Anyway, Bad Beat has a nice comfy layout and a well rounded beer menu to boot. So on top of all the cool NES games and awesome ownership, their beer is pretty solid too. I’m already forgetting what I had but if I recall correctly, I had their Amber(Ante Up) which was pretty good but Ambers aren’t my usual go to style so I’m no expert. Their Basil Pale Ale(Ace In the Hole) was definitely a unique offering that’s worth trying, you really don’t find many like this anywhere and it definitely has a profound basil flavor. Their Coffee Stout(Morning Payoff) which was definitely a tasty offering of the typical breakfast stout. Lastly, and of course my favorite, their IPA(Hoppy Times) which had a great little flavor that I enjoyed enough to snag myself a six pack upon leaving. Unfortunately they were out of the Hefenweizen and their«Heater» Serrano Pepper Milk Stout release was the weekend following my visit so I missed out on a few solid offerings. Hopefully something will bring me back to the area soon so that I can further indulge in what Bad Beat has to offer, not to mention whatever cool concoctions they come up with next. Suffice it to say, this place is a fantastic little brewery to have in the area and I hope they grow and expand so I can find a few of those beers sneaking their way back here to SD.

Tucked away in what seemingly is a semi truck depot, this place is really a gem. It’s always great to have a legit brewery to hang out at. There is plenty of open space when you walk in with two huge screens for sports. Plenty of places to sit. The tables have some card games although it is not as extensive as the selection at Crafthaus. For the beers, they had some good ones on tap. I’m being picky as I wish there were more, but they had a variety of brews. Hoppy times, their IPA is great as the aroma and taste of hops really shined through. Ace in the Hole is some sort of basil beer that I just hated as the basil overpowered everything else. Their Ante Up Amber Ale was delicious. Morning Pay Off was like a breakfast stout and it is more like coffee than anything else, perfect for a 4 oz size but you probably wouldn’t want much more. What really set this place apart for me was the atmosphere. They had an old school Nintendo where you can rent out two games at a time for free(they hold onto your ID). We were playing old school punchout and the patrons were not only helping me beat up Don Flamenco, they were cheering me on. Little things like that is what I love about bars. The staff were incredibly nice as so were the patrons. The location is a bit obscure but make the trek to Bad Beat. It’s worth it. Play some Tecmo Bowl, for old times sakes.

Why has it taken me so long to go to the Booze District? This business is one of the gems – great atmosphere, awesome staff, and good brews. I tried their ace in the hole basil pale ale and their morning payoff breakfast stout. I like«fun» brews where an unexpected element is added, which is why I chose the basil ale and the breakfast stout(mmmm coffee taste). Delicious. Everyone, including the patrons, were nice. We checked out a Nintendo game(free BTW but they hold your ID) and we had people cheering for us while also cheering for a college football game. Speaking of which, they have a large TV screen for all of your sports viewing needs.

Mmmmmmm I love beer… Mmmmmm I love beer. I used to live in Hendertucky but have since moved to the almost extreme opposite side of the valley. If I had known that Hendo would become the epicenter of the local beer brewing market maybe I would have changed my mind to move 30+ miles away. This week a friend asked me if I wanted to join him and his significant others for a celebration at Bad Beat Brewing(BBB). Having listened to his glowing reviews and purchasing triple B beer locally myself, I was excited to join him despite having 3 ½ hours of sleep the night before. The GF and I loaded up in the war wagon and headed off to the area of Eastgate and Warm Springs. If your seeking the nectar of the Gods after sundown, just look for the commercial business with multiple cars parked in front of it. Parking was a cinch. In we walked and found a diverse and relaxed vibe. TV’s, darts, and even an Nintendo to keep you entertained. None was needed… only the fellowship of friends and an awesome selection of beer. My personal favorites were the«Morning Pay Off.» A righteous stout that I could have consumed all night long. Next up was a recommendation from my buddy. It was a hybrid of «Ace In The Hole» & «Hoppy Times.» The BBB barkeep was awesome. Sadly, none could remember the fine fellows name. The night was complimented by the Bacon Boys Truck located around the corner and laughing our asses off playing«Cards Against Humanity.» I very much look forward to many more pilgrimages to this holy site of ale.

Local microbrewery with great beer. It’s worth trying most. The beer landscape is changing in southern Nevada and it’s for the better. About the inside: It’s small compared to northwest standards(Portland/Seattle) but come to think of it, most of the better breweries started smaller. One of the beers(Morning Pay Off — Imperial Breakfast Stout) has«tons of roasted notes from local Mothership Coffee Breakfast in a glass Gotta love the mix. And it’s all local. The flagship beer is «Ace in the Hole». Try it. It’s delicious and unique. So enjoy a pint from a local. Craft beers are better. Start here @ Bad Beat Brewing.

This is our favorite of the local breweries. It’s not quite to the San Diego craft brew quality… but it’s getting real damn close! And it’s what Las Vegas needs more of. Brews we like: 1. Bluffing isn’t weisse– a Hefeweizen. Honestly one of the best I’ve tried. Its authentic, with a yeast flavor that shows up… in a good way. It’s got a pleasant smooth banana clove scent and it just slips over your tongue quiet nicely. $ 3 for 8oz. Sign me up everytime! 2. Joker-Belgian golden strong, aged in Chardonnay oak barrels. First time trying this one(seasonal) and its damn good. It almost has a slight bourbon scent to me. At 11% it’s strong… but their is no alcohol off flavors. Very good, hope they keep this one on tap! 3. Queen of hearts – guava something. It’s not on tap right now… but it’s another of my favorites. Non beer points of interest: 1. Bring your own food. I personally prefer In-n-out 2. Trivia night Thursday’s @7pm 3. Tours of the facility 1pm on Sunday’s. 4. They have a mini shuffle board near the men’s restroom!

I love this little brewery. For how new they are I think they are rocking it with good beer and creating a cool hangout. I’m in love with the little area where they are located. When my brother and his friends were in town we visited Bad Beat, Crafthaus, and Las Vegas Distillery. One of his friends said this was actually his favorite part of his Las Vegas trip. I’m so glad that this little booze district is so close to home. As the driver for this little adventure I appreciate that they offer a variety of sizes, including 2 ounce samples. My favorite beer was the Ace in The Hole Basil beer. It sounded a little odd, but the herb flavor worked really well. I was only able to sample little bits of the others since I was driving, but everything I tried was tasty and refreshing. The front of the brewery is really fun. They have games including darts, Nintendo, and shuffleboard. This made it easy to hang out for a few hours while enjoying our drinks. This is definitely a go to spot when I have visitors in town now. Definitely a cool area to show locals that Vegas is about more than just The Strip.

Checking out all the Vegas area breweries requires a trip out to Henderson for sure. They really paid attention to the design of this tap room. Before you reach the bar in the back, you’ll be greeted by a Super Nintendo and a dart board. There’s also shuffleboard of some sort in the back. There is plenty of seating in varying heights available in the spacious, yet cozy confines. The details are mostly dark wood and gray. In keeping with the dark theme of most area bars it would seem appropriate. It’s a place I could see myself spending lots of time if the beer was any good. Their taster tray is a custom designed round sampler with holes for each beer. I appreciate the work put into this along with the rest of the taproom. Either it was an off day for my palate or their beer wasn’t any good. I was playing the«guessing game» with my honey. When it came to their IPA called Hoppy Times, I couldn’t even detect any hops aroma, nor flavor. Bad name or bad beer? You decide. The Ace in the Hole was just plain nasty. Who puts basil in a beer? Okay, Bison does, but they do it well. Their Gutshot«dry Irish stout» was okay, decent, not great. Considering I’m a fan of the dark beers, that’s probably an insult. However when I got to the Morning Payoff, described as an Imperial Breakfast Stout, my interest was piqued as to their brewing prowess. The coffee flavor punched me in the face harder than the Top Dollar Machine at The Wynn did my wallet. This beer I would come back for. All others need some work. If I’m going to drive to Henderson during our Vegas vacations, I’ll stop off at CraftHaus before Bad Beat every day of the week.
