They are busy here with rad live bands but the bartenders were on it. We didn’t have to ask for a second beer because they noticed right away. Only three guys at the bar the they handled a big crowed (plus they weren’t bad to look at) we’ll be back here quite a bit since we don’t live far and it’s got a nice locals vibe oh and great beer selection…

Whoa what a surprise this place is great! I walked into this place on a random Friday night to find a live band just killing it on stage with a perfect breeze rolling through the outside venue. The bar staff are crazy fun to be around and really make you feel like a regular no matter who you are in fact all three of the bar staff there the night I walked I made sure I was taken care of all night. Having the poop tables so close to the bar kinda sucks cause you are always dealing with someone bu. ping I to you trying get to make a shit but that being said it a dive bar I mean what more could you ask it’s not a huge spot. But the drinks come fast and the mix on them is just right on the money so you have to give some live for that. I live right down. The street near jokers wild so I will deff be coming in general back to this spot more often I look forward to seeing the comedy night they offer soon.

Tom the Bar tender suks! He «thinks» (which is weird cuz he looks like a dick) has more power than god but wears a size 6.5 shoe. Shocking! Band was great but they need to get rid of the twirp bar tender «Tom». Everyone complained about him but talking to others it was him. Crazy cuz the band was so good. Go see the band called ElevenEleven but don’t tip!!!

First time in here tonight, I can’t comment on the other bartenders but as far as Casey goes she is amazing. She made myself and my buddy feel like we had been coming here for years. Very cool little joint. Wish it had food but it was still a fun place. Younger crowd but very chill. Will definitely swing back through when I’m on this side of town

If you’ve only got two people sitting at your bar at 9pm on a Tuesday, perhaps it would behoove the bartender to be nice when two new people walk in. –Apparently that is not the business model at the Gold Mine. I usually try and find some positives to post about a place, but I cannot even come up with something nice to say beyond the fact that we didn’t have to wait 20 minutes, like the other reviewer, for a skunky Heineken.

Found by accident heard the live band… Had great time! The bartenders only really pay attention if your a local. Had to wait while for drink’s even though we had cash in hand. Once the DJ started the crowd changed and then was even longer trying to get a drink even though place was not packed… Idk if I will recommend to friends in area. I love living here but will look for a more welcoming place for locals;

Recently moved here from California and the wife and I were looking for a local watering hole and came across this place on Water st.
Upon going inside, we liked the setup and look of the place and thought that maybe this would be our spot! Nope! We sat at the bar and waited about 10 minutes to order with only 4 guys in the place!
Now keep in mind I was a Bartender in a slammed bar in L.A. For over 15 years so I’m more patient than anyone I know! I’ve got no problem waiting as long as you acknowledge me! When you only focus on the 4 bikers at the far end of the bar, that’s not good!
When the bartender did come over, she was cool and I thought, no biggie!, stuff happens so don’t make a quick judgement!
Well, after we ordered and received our first round, I waited for 20 minutes for some follow up!!! 20 minutes!!! When the girl finally finished her conversation with the now only 2 other patrons, she comes to see if we want another round! «I’m tired now Hun, I’ll take the check!»
Guess we will keep searching for that watering hole.

Very nice place super friendly people very accommodating nice crowd that was there yesterday in nice live band as well.
A pool table few machines to waste your money nice open space outdoors super but not food well be be back

Nice little bar in Henderson on water street they don’t serve food but the service was better than most. The bartender Kendall was great! Very attentive. No food though, it’s okay since there’s food down the street

My first time here, as I was in town from Oc. The bartender (casey?) was attentive and an all around awesome chick. I was unsure as I walked in but left feeling like I’ve found a new spot when I’m in town. Thanks to the bartender. Friendliness is on point.

There was four of us there for the first time and we really had a good time. Beer was $ 4 a bottle a little high for a small local bar.

Really like this bar because of the atmosphere and music nights. It’s truly a Henderson bar. However, I have had a couple of instances when the bartenders have been really rude. One time I went to order a beer when the bartender was talking with some presumed regulars. He did actually ask what I wanted when I approached the bar but after I ordered he turned back to finish his conversation. After a couple minutes I asked if he was going to get my order and he said if your really in that big a hurry! Another time I went in with my husband and tried to order something they didn’t have. The bartender turned to my husband and said «she’s not from around here is she». In fact I am! Despite these, I like the bar and enjoy going on occasion.

Love this bar. Nick makes the BEST Bloody Mary’s there. Love the laid back atmosphere. They have great bands always coming in as well as the drink specials. Pool tables ar a plus. I’ve always had g great service in this bar.
Love that they also do biker events, that’s a huge bonus!!! Location is also perfect for me as I can walk, ride or drive their :-)

Awesome little hole in the wall. Found on groupon, $ 10 for $ 20. Came in on a Sunday around 1pm. Pretty empty, they have NFL specials that are great. Got a hard cider + cinnamon whiskey shot for $ 5. Friendly service, pool tables, and all decorated for Christmas! I’ll definitely be back :)

I love Gold Mine. It’s close to my house, and has a great local vibe which can be hard to find in a town of large casinos, clubs and bars. A true neighborhood dive. It isn’t for everyone, as the crowd is very diverse given the night. I love Wednesday nights (free pool and ladies’ night!), and the weekends offer live music on their patio. This is definitely a spot to go with friends. You can hang out and do your own thing or mix in with the crowd and meet new people.
Drinks are cheap, and bartenders are friendly. Only thing is you never know when they’ll close up for the night. Sometimes they’ll stay open until 2, sometimes it’s midnight. Difficult to gauge, which sucks for someone who doesn’t get out until past 10 (like myself).
Tom and Shotty are quick to learn your name and drink. Beer on tap has a smaller, but decent selection to please everyone (PBR to Stone, cheap to craft), and on a night with a special, it’s a great place to hang out in a casual, fun atmosphere.

Worst service I can recall having at a local Las Vegas bar! Indeed «Hendertucky», and they show it. Rude bartenders, awful cocktails that were watered down and just made poorly. Each time myself or one of my friends wanted a drink, we had to wave down for service (and we were sitting right AT THE BAR), then often got the eye roll thing as if we were a bother. If not for the fact that a friends band was playing there the night we went, I would NEVER go to this place. Hey bartenders, try and take some lessons in kindness and good CUSTOMER SERVICE, and perhaps a class in how to make a cocktail,

Hole in the wall out in the middle of Downtown Henderson. Small bar venue, with some pool tables and a loud, hipster/​skater crowd… I very much enjoyed the scenery but wasn’t able to feel chemistry with anyone in the place. Oh-wait…there was a guy sitting at the bar watching some game all alone who I ended up chatting with most of the night. haha! A lot of early/​mid twenties crowd, lots of ruckus and SMOKING GALORE! Smoke cloud alert!!!
It was a cool place to check out but not my thang!

i fail to see how Gold Mine Tavern has so many 5 star reviews. This place just doesn’t do it for me, and I’ve been in quite a few times.
The highlights are that they are located close to home for me, have live music qutie frequently… and that’s about it.
I’ve been in at different times — during the middle of the day when it was dead (probably the best time) and on busy weekend nights when it was slammed. The video poker machines suck, as does the service a lot of times.
I am sure that there are regulars who frequent this place and receive super prompt service, but in my opinion, as a bartender, you should try and treat everyone like a regular. Like, you see someone enter and sit at the bar — you should totally APPROACH them and ask what they would like to drink. That just doesn’t happen here — the bartenders are too into their conversations to help customers that they don’t know.
And that’s unfortunate, because I would much rather support a hip local bar, rather than go to a large chain.

My bf and I came here apparently during some construction times for this area. We werent sure if they were opened for business or ??? we tried one door and it was locked. My bf turned to leave but nope. 2^nd door was open. Yay! let’s get a round.
This place had a cool chilled out vibe. Not only was it chilled out, dimly lit, pool tables, cool music, etc. But the best part, there was a guy in the nxt door area bbq and they had $ 1 tacos! carne asada and some other kind of meat. Damn those were good. If I hadnt been watching every calorie for some upcoming event I would have partken more.. but I thought it better to stick to just the one and got outta there.
They also had the option for guys who were hungry to get AYCE tacos for $ 10. which made sense to just do this and feed everyone in your group b/​c they arent monitoring who those tacos are for.. so…
and this was suggested by the bartender so they were in full understanding that this was going to happen.
I was ordering rum n diet coke and i think the drinks were $ 3 or $ 4. not bad.
I’d be back but I moved away.
