If you have a chance to visit this location just skip it. I no sooner left my table to get a plate just to return to find my drink, receipt, flatware gone, apparently waitress didn’t want anyone in her section, the food was the general quality you would expect at Golden corral, and I kick myself every time I choose to eat there… will be paying for it later

The food is great! They always have a hot and fresh selection of anything you’d want to eat. Only complaint: it’s expensive! It was $ 22 for two adult LUNCH buffets and then $ 3 for a tip.

I’m not a big fan of «All you can eat» buffets, especially in restaurants, just off the interstate. They are normally very busy, the food is poor quality and the service is normally poor. However I was very pleasantly surprised by this Golden Corral. There is a sign off the highway that tells you it is off the Interstate, but it is not very easy to locate, unless you look it up on your Iphone. The buffet table was very appealing aesthetically, which was my first surprise. The place was fairly busy, about 5:30PM on Sunday evening. It appeared to be a lot of local people, which is usually a good sign. I had the chicken, creamy cole slaw, corn, seasoned peppers and onions, which were all excellent. My wife had steak and several other items. The pizza slices had loads of cheese, but the crust was a bit undercooked The desserts looked great. I had carrot cake, which seemed like the cake was a bit undercooked, heavy and super moist. The had a nice little chocolate fountain, your standard cookies and other cakes. The brownies had lots of chocolate on top, but like the carrot cake a bit too moist for my taste. They had a nice yogurt set up. The waitress in our area was very good, took the plates and got us refills without us having to ask.

Tried this on a Sunday evening… In one word terrible… Everything was salty, not at all clean… Restrooms were dirty… Staff was rude. Would not recommend this at any time!

It is such a shame to have to give a not so nice review of this place. I like Golden Corral, and it’s one of my favorite places I like to go to eat. But for some reason, today eating here, made me quite unhappy. So I came in this morning for breakfast and my I must say that breakfast was not good at all. The turkey sausages were dry. The pork bacon and sausages were greasy. The toast was so greasy, oily or buttery. Why can’t they make plain toast and allow the customer to put their own butter on the toast. The fried potatoes were not fried but look as if they sat inside a pan of oil. Mostly everything seemed so greasy. The syrup was watery. After eating some of the food, my stomach began churning and became upset and I just lost my appetite.

Holy crap this was the worst place I’ve ever eating at. The kitchen was dirty and discusting. The bathroom was unsitely. The food look old and we had no idea where the chef was. OMG I would not serve this food to anyone .if you what good service there is a bojangles or chic filet next door.

It looks way better with new paints job and tableware. The buffet look better and the food was better than it was but the vegetables still are nasty

This place is a joke. The food was consistently cold to warm, and the interior of the place is filled with smoke from the grill because it doesn’t exhaust properly. I wanted to leave after barely eating anything because I was having trouble breathing. When I asked what the… I was told it was pretty much normal for that location. I eat at golden corrals all the time. It is not normal to have your eyes watering when you eat your food! Additionally the locations interior looks like it was painted by somebody with a blindfold on with a bunch of cans of spray paint. It’s actually embarrassing to even be inside of it.

Went to eat with the family, got in the door and we stood there. noone said hi. take a seat for more than 5 mins. At least. I didnt like the seafood at all, overcooked and dried out and hard. I loved the grilled steak and sprouts though. I wouldnt eat there again!

This was my first time ever at a GC, I was in the area, and since my mom loves it we decided to go. I lost my appetite as soon as I stepped in and looked around. Not because of the food, but because of the insane amount of obese people. They were struggling to walk to the buffet but managed to make trip after trip with plates full of food. There were so many of them. It was so sad to see. I’m not skinny or obese, but I actually think I would lose weight eating here! The food was okay, not spectacular, the server was very nice, I’d eat there again as a treat.

Ugh… I don’t get the hype. When my family and I were in Henderson, NC we went to the GC for breakfast. The experience was«mehhh». They didn’t have the rolls that I husband loves. I think he was a little disappointed. The tables were semi sticky, wet, damp— I dunno, maybe they had just wiped them down. The place didn’t strike me as clean. The chick making the omelets didn’t seem too happy. I don’t blame her… however, it was little uncomfortable. Our waitress was lovely though. She was very sweet and had a nice voice. She was the highlight of the establishment. Regardless, this will me my first and last trip to the GC.

As far as Golden Corrals, there are much better ones. As far as restaurants in Henderson go, this may be on the nicer end. I mean, for what it is — a smörgåsbord of all varieties of food including steak — it’s fine. It’s great for picky eaters, vegetarians, and meat eaters. Other than I think a vegan might look at you funny for bringing them here, it’s probably doable for them too. But then again, I think everything comes in butter. And well, they have a great yeast roll(and HONEYBUTTER) and dessert selection. It’s a pain in the ass location to get to, but it ain’t the worst thing in Henderson by far.

I was working near Henderson on a Saturday, and chose to go to the GC Breakfast Buffet. I was the 1st person to enter the restaurant on this morning. The buffet had all of the GC basics, such as scrambled eggs, becon, sausage, grits, ham, cereals, and the made to order omlettes. I did notice a lot of duplication of items on the buffet instead of more variety. The juice machine was not working, and there was no sign to warn customers of this. Several of the employees were having a loud non work related conversation. I had plenty to eat for breakfast, but I have had better experiences at other locations.

The food was OK — it is buffet after all. What was widly bizarre was the racial division that happened. The anglo’s sat on one side — everyone else on the other. Not kidding — like what’s this about? One side of the restaurant smelled of cat-pee(really, not kidding). The ladies room floor was very grungy. When walking out of the restaurant, the staff was sitting, within 2 feet of the front door smoking… This was our first and final time with Golden Corral!

On a road trip from DC to North Carolina recently, we found ourselves hungry and choosing our dinner spots based upon what options were listed on the road sign for the next exit.(You’d think that as an avid Unilocaler I might use the app that I’m typing in right now to guide me, but old habits die hard! Plus I get to be the«first to review» here!) I don’t quite get the allure of chain restaurants exactly, other than you know that you’re going to get the exact same dish in Billings as you would in Boston and at a decent price as well. But there’s so little creativity in the kitchen if the«chefs» are only preparing dishes whose recipes were taste tested and sent down on high from corporate HQ. But obviously consistency and proximity are the key factors, not innovation.(And I’m susceptible to that«I just want what I know» impulse just like everyone else. Once after traveling around Asia for two months, my partner and I had lunch at a McDonald’s in Beijing and then walked right next door to chow down on some KFC! I recount that story with pride just so you know I’m not the food snob I may seem to be.) To my mind the Golden Corral seemed the best option among the many choices. Fast food options are always the most limiting unless you go in knowing what to order, which we don’t, while restaurants like Ruby Tuesday take too long. At least at a buffet, we could choose what we want and hopefully restrain ourselves from going back for seconds and dessert(I couldn’t). I rate this place at two stars as an average of my 3 stars against my partner’s one star. He thought that all the veggies were swimming in butter(they weren’t) and that all the meat and chicken dishes were dried out because they’d been sitting out too long(they kind of were). But navigating a buffet is like buying produce at the grocery store. Don’t have your heart set on anything in particular, just go with what looks good. For me that was the black eyed peas, the kale, stewed okra, roasted potatoes, salad, and and as indulgences a single corn fritter and a single fried chicken wing, both of which held up under the heat lamp. I had to taste a morsel of the peach cobbler and bread pudding before we departed, just because, and they were both pretty good. Should we find ourselves at exit 214 off I-85 in North Carolina, I don’t think we’d stop here again or at any other Golden Corral for that matter. Not because the food is unacceptable – it’s fine for what it is – I just don’t think my partner liked his first foray at the Golden Corral and I don’t have the energy to persuade him to give it another try.
