Hap-E-Dog Natural Food & Barkery

Super friendly, very good advice about food & good selection. Though I don’t need the grooming it’s always so clean & bright in that area, with happy darling dogs coming out! Meet the nice owner, who’s often there.

Originally we went to Lazy Dog grooming first based on Unilocal reviews it was just a few bldg.‘s down but it was not meant to be because the guy behind counter did not seem welcoming at all and said they were all booked that day and did not bother to ask if we would like to come back we had to ask him when they’re next opening was and since were new to the area and needed a groomer we set up the appt. for 3 days later as we were leaving we saw Hap-​E-​Dog Natural bakery and grooming it was a few bldg.‘s down so we went in to check and we had a warm welcome by the lady behind the counter she then informed us they had a opening for the next day and while we were there filing out paperwork someone had a cancellation and they were happy to take us in right away, I noticed Angel Boy did not seem too anxious and was not shaking but more at ease then when we were at the Lazy Dog, the place was clean and professional and seemed like a nice environment. all in all they had him all groomed and done in 2 – 3 hours. We were super pleased with the end result as you can see he’s all handsome and clean and he even had a little cute scarf to go with it! I love Hap-​E-​Dog! I’ve shopped there for several years for my dog food, they sell the best quality and the prices are very reasonable. They have a really large selection of interesting items. I’ve purchased everything from my dogs car booster seats, toys, little flashing safety lights that fit on their harness for night time walks, treats, even a cargo cover to protect the interior of my car. The owners are very knowledgeable and really helpful, and the staff is great too!

We love taking our dogs here for grooming. The staff is always very friendly and the dogs look fantastic when they are done. We used to go to the big chain pet stores, but after hearing some horror stories we decided to try Hap E Dog and we will never go anywhere else. Thanks!

I love how easy these guys are to get in with last minute appointments. Pricing is comparable to other groomers in the area. Quality of service is perfect. Staff has been super helpful and fast.

I really love Hap-​E-​Dog. I’m a little particular and they don’t even flinch. One feature I really appreciate is that the grooming area is open to the store. You can talk with the groomers and see them working on the dogs.

My first time at this place and I have to say I am pleased so far.
Linda, the owner, went out of her way to explain the different ingredients in the different foods. She was very knowledgeable I must say.
I chose the 26.5 lb of N&D. I liked this place because they provide coupons for a lot of the dog food and free samples.
I will be trying their grooming services soon.

I bring my two dogs here to get groomed and have for a couple of years. They consistently do a fantastic job and are wonderful with the dogs. Highly recommend!

The staff is very helpful and friendly, and processed the Unilocal deal with ease.
They have a large selection of pet supplies and accessories. It’s a clean and organized store. They groom on location, We will be using their services soon.

The staff was friendly and they had a good selection of toys, treats and food. Found great interactive dog toys and some natural chewies. I will definitely shop here again.

The worse customer service ever. Ordered a cake two weeks in advance, they made it one week early, never called to see why it wasn’t picked up, could have fixed problem at that point. Now my pooch is without a birthday cake :(will never go back.

Went to check out their grooming facility because they claim to hand dry with no cage dryers. Well, let me describe what I saw in the room all the dogs are kept. Lots of dirty old metal cages stacked on each other not secured in any way. 2 bathtubs in disrepair. Fans with a lot of hair stuck in them pointed toward a section of the cages and also those high power fans that are used to dry houses after a flood inches away directly pointed at a dog in a cage. He didn’t look happy. The girl there said that wasn’t cage drying because it’s not heated. That was enough for me!

These people butchered our poodle. If I could add a picture to show you how terrible she looks, you would think that these groomers had no formal education and I brought the dog to supercuts for $ 10 trim.
We will be taking the poodle to another groomer to fix her haircut and for them to shave the spots that Hap E staff missed.
The poor dog is sleeping underneath a pile of blankets because I’m sure it was a traumatic experience and she is exhausted.
The Rottweiler that we brought was fine, because she just got a bath. Don’t go here. If there was a zero star possibility, they would get it.
F rating and the business is run by a bunch of no-​talent hacks.

I always used those place for grooming but today rather then walking my dachshund out on his leash the groomer carried him and dropped him on the concrete floor from over 3 feet high in the air. They then had the nerve to still charge me for the nail trim. I understand accidents happen but this could have easily been prevented by walking him on his leash. I won’t be going back.

Once again I am just so happy with my entire experience. Bob and Hank look amazing. They were ready a just a couple hours.
And because they both recieved good reports, I had to get a treat. They made me.
Once again… BOB AND HANK APPROVED!

This place is so amazing. I found out about this place when my friend (Chelsea) started working here. If you want to buy the best for your dog, this is the place to go. Unlike other pet stores, the staff is friendly and competent in knowing what is the best for your dog. They’re great in breaking down the specifics about the type of foods they have as well as communicating to you what is best for your dog. Their grooming services are great as well. My dog loves coming here because the atmosphere is energetic and friendly. It may be ways to go but it’s worth it if you want the best! :D

Everyone I have talked to at Hap E DOG has been very pleasant. I take my Bichon here for grooming. They do an excellent job on her. The store has a nice selection of premium pet food. They also carry toys and other such pet items. I would much rather shop locally than shop some huge big box store.

I have a dog that has a long list of allergies, both environmental and food. I like this store because they have a large selection of natural dog food with reasonable prices, very knowledgeable staff, and the store is very clean and organized! The staff is always friendly and helpful, always willing to make recommendations.

I take my dogs here for their grooming service. (Note: call ahead for a reservation.)
They do a great job. Plus, my pups come home with a new bandanna every time that coordinates with the season. (i.e. September was Fall theme bandannas.)
They are super friendly and they know all their doggy client names. I don’t know how they can remember all of them without looking at the card or the dog collar, but they do.
They also have a medium size store with a pretty good selection of food and accessories. But if you want more selection or are looking for something specific in the way of food… you’ll need to go to At Your Service Pets or another bigger store.
They also have a bakery case of doggy-​goodies… so you can buy your pup a treat for being good.

I have gone here a few times to buy Orijen food for Clarice, my adorable Russian Blue baby cat. It is all she will eat and it makes her chubby, so I have to portion control her food. However, for my other monster, Bebe, she eats only wet food and usually an assortment of natural premium. The selection they have isn’t what I was used to when I bought canned food in the Seattle area, and that makes me sad.
I was sad to see they do not carry California Naturals for cats, as they do for dogs. I had to special order a whole case of it to get it, which I did not like doing. They also did not carry Tiki Cat, which is a regular staple for Bebe.
I like how close this store is, and will probably continue to go there sporadically. But I prefer going to At Your Service Pet Supplies on Valle Verde, as they are practically a mega-​mart for premium pet food.
