Adopted a cat from the shelter back in 2009. The process was simple. There was an application to fill out but there wasn’t a home visit. You’re able to come in & look in the cat different cats they have available.
They have a sign in sheet to make sure that people don’t steal the animals. I think that has happened in the past. They also have cameras outside because they have an animal dumping issue.
They recently redid the cat room & took the cages out & made it a room for the cats to jump around on cat shelves. You can tell they really care about the animals here.
The shelter takes cats & dogs to the PetSmart in Owensboro on Saturday mornings for people to see the animals & adopt from there as well.
