Michelle M Lewis, DO

This is a difficult review for me as my overall experience with Dr. Lewis had been mostly positive to start out with. I wasn’t crazy about the wait times; last time I went in I had to wait close to 3 hours even though I got there early. Dr. Lewis was helpful and positive, albeit a bit aloof, and she seemed rushed. But overall, good experience.
I wasn’t having an easy pregnancy, so Dr. Lewis suggested I go stay with my mom, out of town, for as long as I needed to. She specified that if I were going to be out of town for more than 2 weeks, I should find myself an Ob there, just in case something came up. HOWEVER, we both clarified at the end that that would be an emergency Ob only, and that I would still be delivered with *her*. I got back last week, tried to make an appointment with her, and was told by her staff that they could no longer see me, as I was considered a «transfer of care“patient. Of course I tried to explain that I had done what I did on Dr. Lewis’ suggestion, with the understanding that I’d still be her patient. No dice.
So now I have to find a new OB in my network. At this point in my pregnancy, I have other things to worry about and take care of, so having this sprung on me in this manner is extremely unprofessional.
Bad form, Dr. Lewis.

First visit to this office. I’ve heard great things about Dr lewis… with that being said I’ve been in waiting room for an hour and 10 minutes so far!!! I’ll update after I actually see the doctor. So a total of 1 hour 45 minutes. Saw Dr for 5 minutes. She was friendly and nice but rushed. Next time I know to say text me when she’s ready for me. (DMV does it) My time is just as valuable.

All I can say is Dr Lewis is absolutely amazing! I have never trusted some one so much besides my husband. She never made me feel rushed during our visits, always had my best interest at heart and most importantly… She delivered my son. I could not ask for a better OBGYN. Those kind of visits are so uncomfortable especially young girls and first time moms… But I feel so comfortable and so relaxed in her office. It’s so worth the wait. She is just astounding! So blessed to have found her.

Dr. Lewis is by far one of the best OB/​GYN in town. I am so grateful I came across her she is very detailed in explaining things if you have any questions and really cares about you. She will be delivering my baby boy this summer and I feel I will be in very good hands having her as my doctor. She is Amazing and so is her staff!

I was excited to hear that my daughter was pregnant and we wanted to be a patient of Dr. Lewis and so we called to see if they took her insurance and were told no, so my daughter went to see another OB (whom is awesome, but not in our area) so I looked in the provider book and saw Dr. Lewis in fact was a provider and called back and they stated they were sorry for the miscommunication, that it’s hard to keep up with all the updates to insurances. I informed them she is due in Oct and would like to be seen, I was told she sees her patients around 10 wks along, at the time my daughter was only 6 weeks and we should call back to get her in for the 10 weeks. My daughter also called and was told the same thing. So here it is, she is 10 weeks and we call and they’re already full for October babies, well thanks for messing us over and not communicating that and the staff should’ve said we could make the appt right then, instead of yes give us a call back to schedule when she is further along. It is totally unfair being that my daughter was excited to be seen by her, since my nephew was delivered by her. Oh well guess we will start the search for another OB

This is unfortunate, because Dr. Lewis came highly recommended to me by a friend.
The wait times are beyond unreasonable. I was there one visit for 3 and a half hours. On one occasion, I had to bring my infant, who was fussy, and I was in the office a total of 2 hours for a 5 minute visit with the doctor. I understand that in this line of work the doctor gets pulled away suddenly, and there are emergencies that arise, but the staff is not good about keeping waiting patients apprised.
The staff aren’t welcoming or friendly, and I don’t think I’ve ever seem them smile. Dr Lewis herself is nice, albeit aloof. I wasn’t sure she always listened, or understood my concerns. She was super smiley, which made up for her complacent office staff, but she didn’t always seem to be on the same page as me. She’d quickly brush off my concerns with short answers such as, «You’re fine…» or «No big deal» without elaborating.
The facility is outdated and lacks newer medical equipment and technology. The waiting room is tight because it’s frequently packed.
At my most recent visit, the office asked if I had received the letter they sent certified mail, which I actually hadn’t. They told me, up front but in a waiting room full of people, that since I expressed concerns about my long waits I clearly wasn’t happy with my care, and that I could receive more timely care elsewhere. For that reason, they sent a certified letter to my home saying Dr. Lewis would no longer provide medical care to me. The doctor refused to see me despite having a scheduled appointment and having not received prior notification about this very important change. If they had followed up appropriately, they would have seen BEFORE my appointment that I did not receive their certified letter, and would have called me to save me the trip. But, in fact, their automated phone system called me the day before to remind me of my appointment. This visit was basically the equivalent of a doctor’s office bullying a patient.
I am now looking for another OB/​GYN but, in my circle of friends, I will certainly highly discourage using this practice for many reasons.

So my wife is scared of going to the Doctor… TOTALLY not a good thing when you find out you are expecting. Dr Lewis is very comforting to an expecting mother and takes the time to answer questions and make sure that you are well informed and assured that everything will be ok. She also follows up with her vendors and makes sure they treat your right. We have now had Dr Lewis deliver both of our boys and my wife says she couldn’t have done it with out her help.

I’ve been trying to call to make an appointment for an hour now. Theyr supposed to be on lunch break till 1:30pm and now it’s 2pm and theyr still sending me to voicemail. That should already tell you theyr shitty customer service ! No thanks !

Dr. Lewis is outstanding! She is warm and caring. She has gone above and beyond her duties as a doctor and treats you like a human being. My past OB/​GYN was decent, but the friendliness seemed forced and fake. Dr. Lewis actually cares about your health. Everyone loves her, so prepare for a long wait to get an appointment and another long wait once you get there. Her facilities are clean and there is a TV and magazines to keep you occupied. The front desk ladies aren’t the friendliest of people, but whatever. I would definitely recommend her to anyone that needs an OB/​GYN.

Finding a decent doctor in Vegas for routine matters is hard; finding an OB/​GYN is even more challenging. Dr Lewis is super cool, easy to talk to, and easy to be around… even if it is once a year.
I highly recommend her. Call months in advance of your annual for an appointment. It’s easily a 6 month wait for new patients. Her front desk staff isn’t the nicest, but fortunately it’s not them that matter or your relying on for medical advice. Don’t rely on them either for test results or referrals either… you’re gonna have to call to make sure things get done.
Dr Lewis is a 5 star doctor… her staff easily 2 stars.

My appointment here was made in March, first available was August. but with the reviews she gets I took it. I have polycystic ovaries, hormonal imbalances, an auto immune disease… I need a knowledgable doctor. Day of my appointment they called and rescheduled for two weeks later, finally go to my appointment. Not a bad wait time, was a little concerned by the lady who was discussing how the dr adds additional services to her bill to get better payment from insurance and they must have forgotten to cancel out her portion because she received a bill, shady! Anyway, my exam and consult with the dr lasted all of 5 minutes, the nurse talked to me for a few minutes, came back and said the dr wanted to do a biopsy. I asked if it needed to be authorized by my insurance and she said no yours covers it. Dr came in, did my exam, my biopsy, never asked any questions or anything and went along with her day. I got a call a couple days later, was told the biopsy was clear and which option of birth control the dr discussed with me because she thinks I should be on birth control. we discussed nothing, so the nurse said lets go with an IUD, come in and fill out an insurance form. I actually went to my endocrinologist and discussed BC options with him before moving forward since there was no discussion of this. I filled out the form, they called to set an appointment for placing the IUD, that appointment was canceled three times, I finally just stopped calling back to re-​schedule. Then I get a bill from them for the biopsy they told me was covered as well as part of my office visit which IS covered by my insurance, so they want money from me on top of my copay and what my insurance paid them… not happening. So now it’s November, still no results from my exam, all the office tells you is to assume no news is good news, and no IUD because they love to cancel at the last minute. Time to look for another dr after waiting so long for this one who is supposed to be so great, maybe she offers people to not charge them if they write reviews or something.

This review is not on Dr. Michelle but on one of her staff members. Just called to try and make an appointment for new patient and she was extremely rude and said they are only going to be accepting new patients in March of 2016! I understand that, but explain it to me nicely and not in a condescending manner! If that is how the staff is I rather look elsewhere!

It took a while to get an appointment but it was worth the wait. I’m new to the area. The first gyno I had was cold, oppressive and dictatorial.
Dr. Lewis was warm, conversational, interested and concerned. Who could ask for more. I’ve recommended Dr. Lewis to both my sister and my daughter.

Dr. Lewis is amazing. I came to her with a problem that required surgery. Not only did her staff accommodate my emergency appt but they scheduled the surgery ASAP. At the hospital, you can just see the respect that the staff has for Lewis. She’s so friendly and upbeat. You just see that everyone loves her. She listens, she’s caring, competent & easy to talk to. There are some bad doctors in this town, you are in great hands with Dr. Lewis!

I changed Drs and started seeing Dr Lewis for my pregnancy and she’s amazing! She cares about you and your baby and takes time with you, no rushing. She has a probable ultrasound machine and I got to see my baby. It was great. I asked if she can see what I’m having and she took the time to look and see what I’m having. She makes you feel every comfortable.

Went to Dr. Lewis and was very nervous about it due to my horrible experience with my first pregnancy.
I’ll start by saying, it was easy to book an appointment. However very long wait times. I waited about an hour and another half hour undressed in the check up room.
But when the doctor entered the room all that didn’t matter. She was helpful and knowledgable! She was also funny and so easy to talk to and be around. She personally preformed the ultrasound and made sure to take her time so we could see our baby.
I would definitely recommend anyone to her. Michelle Lewis is all around awesome to work with! I’m excited for our next appointment!

I have been going to Dr. Lewis for over 10 years. She has delivered all 3 of my kids. She is spectacular. Yeah sometimes Thee is a wait when you have an appointment, but she is the only doctor in the office, and gives each patient the time they require. That makes me. Feel better knowing that I will m or be rushed out of the office, and that I always get the time and care that I require. I live an hour plus away from her office but would drive 3 if that is what it took. She is phenomenal and I can’t say enough wonderful things. I highly recommend her!

I have been to Dr. Lewis for a couple of years now. I cannot say enough about her and her staff. The bedside manners are just amazing. So understanding, just amazing.
They see so many patients and still have a smile on their faces every time! I have had a couple of emergencies that they have understood how important it was to see Dr. Lewis on such a short notice and I was not only able to see her but they took my concern seriously.
I love how understanding she and her staff is.
Please do yourself a favor and see her if you are looking for a great OBGYN.

In my opinion, Dr. Michelle Lewis is the best OBGYN in the valley. I have been going to her for 16 years and have always received top-​notch customer service, not only from her but from the staff as well.
She delivered my daughter seven years ago via C-​section. My little one was 10 pounds at birth and I was a high risk pregnancy. She answered all of my questions along the way, made me feel comfortable and was always there for me. I was so stressed when I found out that I had to have an emergency C-​section that she brought a boom box into the operating room and we were singing along to Journey as she worked her magic. That memory still makes me giggle.
I have had other complications in the 16 years I have been going to her and she has always guided me in the right direction. From pre-​cancerous cells, to a miscarriage, I feel comfortable with Dr. Lewis and honestly trust my life with her. She genuinely cares about what I have to say and takes the time to listen to my concerns.

Dr. Lewis is a awesome OB/​GYN. A friend of mine actually referred me to her. She helped my friend deliver both her son and daughter. I was a little hesitant because of all the reviews I read online. Her staff is not as bad as what people say. They are all nice and every now and then they may look like they are mad or moody, but they are not. I always talk to them and try to crack a smile and it always works! I guess it all depends on your personality.
OK enough of her staff, they are excellent =) Dr. Lewis is very nice and she makes you feel at ease. She doesn’t pressure you to do anything like get induced when you have two weeks until due date. Why would you want to do that anyways? She did aggravate my cervix to get things moving down there so that I can have the baby on my due date which is on ⁰¹⁄₃₀. This doesn’t always work. Only works if the baby is ready. My friend had the same procedure done and her son came into this world a day after. Sorry that was TMI, but I thought I share. To sum it all up, she is a very nice doctor and would recommend her to anyone who is looking for a OB/​GYN.
While you are waiting you can watch a movie. The office is nice and clean so no worries about creepy crawlies and cockroaches walking past you =)
Also she is the only doctor their and sometimes she may have to leave the office to deliver a baby. The most you have to wait is about an hour, so make sure you call before you go to the office if you don’t want to wait that long.
