DONOTGOTOTHISGROUP!!! My mother was originally seen by Dr. Kala Who originally seemed a good Dr. July 2 mom was taken to emergency room due to extremely low heart rate, Dr. Kala was in the hospital at the time, not once did he bother to see my mother. Since it was holiday weekend after 2 nights they sent her home. Hey everyone’s on vacation so we can’t do anything for you… keep in mind she is 80 and her heart rate would go down to 32, which put her at risk for falling since you get light headed and feel faint, one of the dr told her she needed a life vest to go home but that didn’t happen! So, next weekend once again in hospital emergency room they check her in one of the dr came in during her 2 night stay saying he had not looked at her records and couldn’t recommend any action. Dr Kala NEVER came in to see his patient! Following weekend end up at emergency room they finally sent a semi intelligent dr he did angiogram but blockage not the issue so off to home she goes. Two days later back at hospital the emergency Dr. pushed navada heart to DOSOMETHING! dr bowers put in a pace maker. So we call to schedule follow up after 7 days were told he didn’t need to see her for 3 weeks, once again dr kala where are you? I use dr loosely since the cereal box was we’re all these clowns got there pretend certificates to practice medicine. Hypocritical oath means nothing here! We finally gave up! Now at a good Doctors office Dr. Ismail he is great really concerned about mom and her previous treatment. I will be filing a complaint with the medical organization that governs doctors as well as Saint Rose Siena Hospital. If you care about your loved ones run don’t walk out of Nevada heart!

I came here for a 2nd opinion based on a trusted friends recommendation. Specifically, I came to see Dr. Umakanthan. My 5-stars is with my interaction with him; I’ll get to the office staff in a minute. First, he is very very nice! and he’s really easy to talk with & attentive. I came prepared with prior Dr notes & test results in hand. The opinion he gave fortunately confirmed what I suspected to be true about my initial cardiac consult — there is no medical reason why I can’t proceed with surgery. Granted, I have a better understanding of medical terminology than most, but I still get stumped by the jargon from time to time. nothing he said was over my head or technical. He dumbed it down & I really appreciated that. He explained everything to my satisfaction. I really like him. Now, the office itself is really small. There is limited to no room to move in the lobby & absolutely no privacy when checking in at the front desk. I didn’t have to wait long to be called back, maybe 10 minutes; unfortunately the nurse who called me back was not very friendly. I was trapped in my chair by other patients in wheelchairs & couldn’t get up to walk to the back quickly or easily. When I managed to cross the threshold to the back the nurse was gone & I was looking around to see where to go. All I saw was a clipboard pointing towards a room & a voice instructing me to go in. As a new patient, a hello or simple courtesy would have been nice, but I didn’t get it. She asks me the same questions I just provided written answers for in my demographic & intake forms, and mumbled the entire time. Realizing I wasn’t happy with her she asked if I wanted someone else… I should have said yes but I didn’t. Her«bedside manner» was pathetic. This practice has A LOT of offices throughout the City but Dr. Umakanthan only sees patients here & at the Horizon Ridge location. I didn’t care for this office setting & probably won’t return but I will go to the other location to see him.
