Dr. Lao was very good in answering questions and explaining the retinal imaging. He can be a little«rush-y» in the vision/eye chart exam. The ophthalmic assistant was not unpleasant nor unfriendly — but she was definitely not chummy either. She was all business and she ignored all my wisecracks which tends to be a habit of mine to help me relax in medical exam situations. Can’t blame her — she’d probably heard all those eye chart jokes a thousand times before. I’ve been to high-priced clinics but this one takes the cake on items not covered by insurance. For example, retinal imaging was at least $ 10 more expensive than the last ‘high-priced” clinic I went to. The quote for the lens alone(minus frame) was at least twice what I got the previous year from another«high-priced» clinic. I think it’s Optic Gallery’s location(Seven Hills) that’s driving their prices. The opticians/optical assistants were very pleasant, friendly, and accommodating and were quite happy to give me a copy of my prescription and promised to e-mail me a copy of my retinal photo for my file. One clear advantage of this clinic — it’s only about a mile from my house. Conclusion: I’d come here for my annual eye exams to avail myself of the doctor’s expertise but I would buy my eyeglasses elsewhere.

Awesome place. Very friendly staff. I called asking how much it would cost to replace the nose pads. They said they would do it for free. When I got there I was was greeted with a simle. They replaced both nose pads and adjusted it for free. Wow. I know where i am going next time I need new glassess.

Dr. Nguyen is incredibly thorough and so down to earth! His office is always impeccably clean and the staff is wonderfully accommodating. Their frame selection is amazing and I guarantee you there’s something for everyone as far as style and price point. They accept most insurances and are located in a prime area! Make your appt today, you won’t be disappointed! I can’t wait for my new pair of RED Tom Ford’s!

Very happy with Dr Nguyen and Optic Gallery. They are awesome with my kids, as well as myself. Very thorough exam, knowledgeable staff, and a great selection of frames. My daughter’s new glasses were even ready for pickup 3 days later.

We are new in the area, and finding a new doctor that you’re completely satisfied with can be a hit or miss and stressful. My husband first had his appointment and saw Dr. Nguyen. He was very happy with Dr. Nguyen’s professionalism, knowledge, and kindness. My son and I were also due for an eye exam. My husband highly recommended that we saw Dr. Nguyen as well. My son has severe near sightedness and have been wearing glasses since he was in first grade. Being a teenage boy, you can’t get much words out of him– unless he’s around his friends. Dr. Nguyen was very friendly and patient with him. He really took his time to get to know my son before and during the exam. Finding out that it’s finals week, Dr. Nguyen suggested that my son doesn’t get his pupils dilated so he could easily read and study after his appointment, as your clear vision could take 2 – 6 hours to come back. He said I could bring him back after final exams and he would do the dilation then. That was very considerate of him. Dr. Nguyen was also very friendly and thorough with me during my exam. He answered all my questions and concerns regarding my son’s rapidly changing prescription and gave me a very educated, thorough explanation. He’s very knowledgeable in his field and makes sure that you leave his office with all your questions answered, unlike some optometrists we’ve seen in the past. His assistants were very friendly, professional, and helpful as well. While waiting for the doctor in the exam room, I was asked if I wanted some water. That’s always a nice gesture and definitely one of the signs of great customer service. My husband, son, and I were very happy with our experience with Dr. Nguyen and the girls. I can say that we’ve definitely found our eye doctor!

This is the second year I’ve seen Dr. Cheung. She had a very caring attitude and took her time with my eye exam. She was very nice friendly and very eau to talk with about my vision situation. I didn’t feel rushed at all during my eye exam. A great experience with Dr. Cheung. Candace helped me with getting my glasses. Candace had already preselected some glasses for me because she’s helped me before. I really appreciated this but when sitting with her going over the choices of my glasses I decided to get sunglasses instead. Candace was very helpful in picking a couple of frames for me. Not too difficult because there wasn’t much to choose from since I have a big head-I have to have larger frames. I only had two sunglasses frames to choose from. The choice was made super easy when I found out the price. One was $ 500+; the other about $ 160, though instance picked up most of the frame cost. For some off the other options I went with it cost a little more and was unnecessary, but I needed to use my health savings account dollars before they expired at the end of the year, though the $ 500 frame would have blown way past my savings dollars. I wish they would have more of a selection for people with larger heads. Like with me buying shoes, I have too look for what’s available in my size first then pick from what’s available, not chose like most people where they look for their style first then look for their size. Candace was very helpful and patient in going over the options my insurance covered. Another great experience at Optic gallery.

Got my glasses there a year ago and got an email recently saying that I need to get a new eye exam. I know I need new glasses. I am on Medicare due to the wonderful unemployment rate. I gave them a call to see how they can help. I went by their office few months ago and was told by one of their employees that I can use Medicare and to come back in October. I got the rude treatment and was kind of put down by them. They have lost me as a customer and I will suggest others not to go there.

I wouldn’t go back here. I haven’t received my glasses. I placed an order for some glasses and paid. They said it would take a month before I saw them. Well… my order was placed 04⁄07 it is now 05⁄15. I called them last week at the one month mark, since I hadn’t heard from them and wanted to check the status of the order. Their response was«oh we were going to call you today», then said they would call me back once they had my info up. They didn’t call me back. I waited 2 hours and called them back myself… At this time they finally told me it was back ordered and that they couldn’t provide me with any info as to when I would get them. The girl who answered than informed me that they were closing and would have to call back… Hmmm really? Their customer service needs definite improvement. I am not even upset with the fact that it’s taking long it’s just the lack of concern for their customers that bothers me.
