I had read of a new show titled October Surprise that was opening this evening at PUAH and since we dined at Penn’s in the same shopping plaza, we decided to stop by. The gallery was freshly painted and I was told by owner Shannon McMackin that the artists were on site. The press release indicated works of art ranging in value from $ 50 to $ 30,000 were on display. I did not not find anything I really enjoyed, but in the world of art it truly is different strokes for different folks.

This is a go to for art enthusiasts. I have had the good fortune to visit this happening little Art House twice, and both times it was full of an interesting and eclectic array of artful goodies. If your at the nearby Galleria Mall in search of art, it would certainly be worth the one minute drive to see the possibilities here. From wall hangings, to sculpture, collectables, even video installations… mall art this is not. The owner has been quite charming and helpful, without pretension, or high pressure. Creativity flourishes in this unlikely local. Pop in– to Pop Up… you might pop out with some fab art for your house.
