This was my daughter’s first competition studio. I loved that she was able to make a lot of friends and was able to compete in a competitive level with other studio’s in town. The owner, Kara, seemed to have everything well under control. They had great instructors, nice clean studio. However… Just like most dance studios, the bickering and competition between the moms just got out of control. The owner was never the most pleasant with the kids. She was at times very rough and way too blunt with the kids causing them to burst into tears. Would love to go back now that is is under new ownership. Would love to see what they have to offer.

Stay AWAY for many reasons… including a self absorbed owner, rude staff and not the least of which instructors who know nothing about teaching the technical aspects of dance. It’s apparent working with children is not their passion, they go through the motions and it’s all reflected in the recital. I don’t mind paying A LOT of money for required costumes and pictures, but I do at least expect the children to know minimal choreography after months of practice. Teachers tend to blame the children for not progressing. Instead they should look in the mirror and realize its their teaching skills that need some progress. The most self indulgent thing I’ve seen was when the owner sang in the recital finale… she had no place being there and should have used that time to get to know her students and their parents. May I suggest… Try The Dance Zone. Very professional and they truly care about your child… not just the money they can make off them.
