UYE: Lisa R.’s Graduation Party Buy 1 Get 1 Pizza

I had a blast at my own UYE! I don’t usually create reviewable spots for my UYEs, but today was quite special. I decided to celebrate my own accomplishment, but of course it would be much more fun with Unilocalers and food. We had a great time at Balboa — 10 people, 10 pizzas, 5 of them free! We tried 8 different kinds: goat cheese, artichoke/​spinach/​roasted tomato/​garlic sauce, roasted garlic chicken, pesto pine nut chicken, tostada, philly cheese steak, caprese, and sausage mushroom.
We shared slices of each. I learned that Anthony M. creates a pizza queue when it comes to tasting each type, and he enjoys every bite, at length. The tostada pizza has diced avocado on it = genius! Bobby Y. ran to the kitchen to tell the chefs to leave off olives and sour cream, rather than telling our server, which was a tad funny. We gave Tony T. a hard time for his pesto choice, which I thought had a weird hot dog flavor.
Hats off to my celebratory group: Yuhi K., LJ R., Anthony M., Tony T., Misti Y., Bobby Y., Shirley B., Jieun L. and Paolo D. for hanging out with me! For those who missed it, Balboa always has Buy 1 Get 1 pizza night on Tuesdays! and it is a 24 hour joint also.
