Brandi is awesome… love her demeanor and personality. She is an excellent stylist. I am also a cosmetologist so I know the real deal when I see one! I will be back again for sure! Her scalp message was perfection. so relaxing and I had a blast talking «shop» with her. Highly recommend this lady!

My husband bought me a Groupon for a haircut with Brandi for my birthday a little over a month ago. I was feeling bummed because I just lost my favorite hairstylist of 10 years or so, and was jaded, but my hair was growing at an alarming rate and needed a trim STAT!
I arrived with my husband to my appointment half an hour early. I love the location and the fact that it’s in The District. I was nervous about how I would find the salon inside the building, but was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to find. Each salon in the building has their own separate room with the ability for the door to close for privacy which I found to be very cute and appealing. I noticed the other salons had 1 chair per salon, whereas Wicked had 2. I understand this is because Brandi shares her business with another stylist, Ashley, but as someone who gets claustrophobic, I found it to be very cramped. With 4 people in that small room, it was nearly suffocating to me and my anxiety shot through the roof.
As stated before, I arrived early, so my husband and I sat on a bench and patiently waited. My appointment time came and went, and Ashley assured me that Brandi would be there. I sat and waited and waited and waited some more. Brandi ended up showing up about 15 minutes late. I was a little annoyed, but tried to shrug it off. Then, Ashley’s next client who had just arrived, came in and was seated promptly at the hair washing station (there is only one that they share). Ashley spent approximately 20 minutes washing this woman’s hair, and Brandi advised me I would need to continue waiting until Ashley was done. Mind you, I had been waiting for Brandi for 45 minutes prior, and was now being asked to wait another 20 minutes. I was slightly offended that I had waited that whole time and yet this client, whose appointment was after mine, got attended to right as soon as she arrived.
I grew increasingly annoyed as I sat there and listened to their chit-​chat back and forth when all I wanted to do was just get my haircut at the time I had scheduled and leave. The small talk consisted mainly of all the women complaining about their husbands or significant others. Mind you, I’m not talking about «He left his dirty clothes on the floor» kind of complaining… I’m talking about more in-​depth and personal type of complaining. I felt awkward, so I kept to myself the entire time, as I felt the topic was inappropriate to discuss with strangers, especially with my husband sitting right outside the salon within earshot. In fact, after I left the salon, my husband even mentioned to me, «Is that what women do when they go to work or the hair salon– complain about their boyfriends and husbands?»
Once I was finally in the chair at the hair washing station– I will admit this– Brandi gives AMAZING scalp massages. At one point she massaged a part of the base of my head where my neck meets the scalp and I felt like I was floating on clouds. I would not doubt it if she was a massage therapist prior to becoming a hairstylist.
Brandi took the time to style my hair very beautifully, but I feel like the cut itself did not emphasize my natural curls as I had requested, so the day after when I washed it and tried to do it myself, it ended up looking just as it had before.
I don’t know if I will return in the future. I feel like this salon is great for some people, and maybe it just was not for me.

I love Ashley and Brandi to death! Both are fabulous stylists and are up to date with the latest trends. My girls and I just moved here and this was the first salon we visited. We love it so much that I won’t go anywhere else!

I got my highlights with Brandi and she is amazing! And her scalp massage really is the best. I will definitely be back.

Ashley did an amazing job on 2 haircuts today! Have lived in Henderson for 4 years now and have not found a great stylist yet. Today was the exception! I will highly recommend you try this salon and Ashley is amazing!!!

Brandi is amazing!!! She is really great at what she does. I tend to be very indecisive most of the time and Brandi really helps me choose the best color and cut that works best for me. Thanks for keeping looking and feeling my best.

Brandi has been doing my hair for years. It always looks amazing when she’s done. I love that she is willing to take the time to teach me some of her styling techniques so I get a similar look at home.

Brandi is hands down the best hair stylist I’ve had. She really understands how to cut thick hair and took the time to make sure the cut and color were just right. I would highly recommend her for your next salon visit. I will be seeing her again!

Very unique salon concept. Very relaxing ambiance. My haircut was done by Brandi. She has real warm personality, excellent skills, gorgeous result. Great hair products used. I have never had such great scalp massage in years!!!

I love Ashley Czanstke, as a professional and talented stylist! My first visit required complicated color, since I had been sick for three months, and unable to update my bleach blonde style. I had two inch black roots with orange tinted highlights underneath. With no trepidation, Ashley created a beautiful combination of light roots, scattered lowlights, with a long layered haircut that gave me some much needed shape. She was friendly, kind, efficient, and a good listener. I was visiting my parents from out of state, and already have my next appointment with her booked! She is a very talented hair artist!

Ashley is amazing. After just randomly searching for a new stylist, I found Wicked on Unilocal and decided to give them a shot. First appointment was for a cut. I’m always wary about putting layers into my hair since I’m so lazy about styling but Ashley did such an amazing job. My hair feels healthy and stylish. It moves and is easy to style. Wonderful! Second appointment was for color. Added red peekaboos and they look perfect. Exactly what I envisioned! I will definitely continue to get my hair done there.

Love this salon! Conveniently located in the district. Brandi always does an amazing job on my hair! No matter if I’m going blond, or decide to go totally dark. Not to mention she gives the MOST amazing scalp massage I’ve ever had! Literally feel like a new person when I leave. I also like how private their little rooms are. Makes girl talk with Brandi that much better, and I don’t have to hear all the other conversations going on, and they don’t have to hear mine! 5 stars! :)

I’ve been getting my hair done by Gwen for years! I love this place. Both girls are super talented! Gwen will do exactly what you want or give you ideas if you’re not sure. I always get color and a cut. I won’t ever go anywhere else. And don’t forget, you can bring the whole family, men’s and kids hair too!

I couldn’t imagine NOT having these girls. Both of them are amazing at what they do and so great at providing you with what you need. I have been seeing Gwen since 2007 and have literally had every color. I’ve been a brunette, blonde, red head, ombré’, highlights, lowlights, bobs, and extensions. She is AMAZING! She does everything and anything. Every time I get my hair done I always receive tons of compliments. I am NEVER unhappy and always enjoy spending time with both of them. It’s fun and you get pampered at the same time. I always feel like a new woman when I leave and I will never go to anyone else. They are both the best and very reasonable.
