My 4yo son just got his haircut here and we both enjoyed the visit. As soon as we walked in Nick greeted us very friendly. He was great with my son and made him feel comfortable. The shop was clean and they have all kinds of magazines if you’re waiting. I’m glad I found this place, I will definitely be taking my son back.

I stopped in one Saturday afternoon around 2pm because I was due for a haircut. I have one of the easiest haircuts to do because I just pick a height between #1 and #3 and do it all over. Because of the simplicity of my haircut I prefer a cheap place. I used to use the $ 5 haircut place La Estetica on Rainbow.
I was directed toward the back to Bob, who is an old guy who’s been cutting hair for over 40 years. He’s a nice guy, and we enjoyed good conversation while he cut my hair. No issues with the haircut other than its $ 16 plus tip, which for me is a bit out of my range for just a haircut.
This is probably not the place to go if you want a fade or other fancy haircut. In fact a phone call came through regarding someone wanting a special fade and none of the guys wanted to do it, so if you want one, try another place. If you want a good no frills haircut with decent conversation then this place is fine.

Really good neighborhood barber. All of the barbers are very skilled. They are also good counselors, you can tell them anything. Ha. This is a great place, been coming here for years. Ask for Mindi she’s a great barber! One other plus is the shop is open at 5am for people who work odd schedules.

I have been there several times and they have always done an awesome job with the haircut and old fashion straight razor shave that is so relaxing. Ernie the owner is the greatest and opens the shop early everyday so you can look your best when you go to work, in case you were busy the day before or just stayed out too late, such as my first experience. Love this place.

I had never been to a barber, then I stopped in here without an appointment one morning and they fit me right in. Ernie asked me what I wanted. I usually buzz my hair short since it is disappearing, but I told him he he is in charge and do what he wanted. Well he did a nice job of cleaning it up and cleaning up my 5 day old 5 o’clock shadow. It was a really friendly and relaxing experience. I really like the joint. I’d hang out there all day if they’d let me.

Had a bad experience early on with Bob (the old guy in the back). But after I complained, Ernie (the owner) made things right. He offered me a complimentary haircut as compensation for my previous bad experience, and I was quite pleased with the result. I prefer just a standard, traditional men’s haircut, so I can’t say how good this place is for someone looking for something more trendy. But I continued as a regular customer there for 2 – 3 years (until I moved out of the area), and was quite satisfied.

I would not go back. The old guy just would NOT listen. He’d talk. But he wouldn’t listen.
Maybe he did listen but he didn’t understand. I tried though.
Neither me or my son got the hair cut we wanted. Back to our old standby.
Never again. Yes, I’m disappointed.

I had my haircut by 4 barbers in this shop. The female (mindy I believe) is the only one who took her time and gave me a proper haircut. Mike ruined my hair, then I went to Andy who gave me a great haircut once, and then ruined my hair the last time I was there. I almost shaved my head because he cut it so lopsided and gave me no fade what so ever. Ernie gave me an ok haircut. If you are looking to get a fast, inconsistent haircut this is definitely your barber.

Great quality and service. This place is a good, traditional barber shop. Ernie, the owner, is great and the other barbers are as well. I’ve been going there for almost 10 years and recommend this place to all of my friends.

Getting the man’s mane under control. I don’t want a fade, I want my hair tapered he says. The barber was a lady, which I haven’t seen since I was home in Long Beach but I loved that she asked if I approved! Ha. Good service and easy to find. Reasonably priced and like any barber shop, there is a lot of talking/​boasting.

Ran into my barber, bob on a whim. I had a place in orange county that I liked to get my haircut at, but my trips back are becoming less frequent.
Bob really sold me when I first came in because I didn’t have cash but he gave me a haircut anyways and trusted me to come back with it after a visit to an ATM. Anybody willing to give out services with that kind of trust must really like their job so I went with it.
I am impressed with his attention to detail and his notice of an odd shape on my head. I also like the fact that he cleans up the edges with a straight razor. I wish he did a full shave too but he says the ladies that normally do that were not in when I was there. He also does a hand vibrating massage of the head, neck, and back which seems strange, but it actually felt pretty cool.
I like that I found a no-​bull barber rather than trust my head to some moron hair «stylist».

This barber shop has been around for a long time. One of their barbers moved out of town a few months ago, and another is retiring after over 40 years cutting hair. The barber in the second chair from the door, Pat, is great — I feel really comfortable recommending him. At some point in 2009, the barbers got together and decided to stop doing straight razor shaves. That’s a shame; I really enjoyed that service from my old barber shop in North Las Vegas, but I understand why you’d do it from a business perspective. They take too long to do well so it ends up being less profitable on a time basis. Times change. It turns out, you also can’t get teeth pulled there.

Good old fashion barber shop, with all the character you would hope for. Warm shaving cream, straight razors, old guys talking about sports and women, sports on tv and not one single sit down hair dryer. They never try to sell you new hair products, and they dont try to suggest new ways to cover your bald spot. :) My hair is buzzed very short, and I usually do it myself, but every couple of weeks, this is the place I go for a really good shave and haircut. Especially if I want to look good for an occasion. Its a great place to escape from life, if only for a few minutes.
