All About Art Gallery And Frame

After moving to Nashville, I was not convinced that I would find the sort of frame shop that would bring care and artistry to the table — relative to that which I grew to expect in my hometown. Although I did not read any reviews before visiting All About Art, I chose to give them a shot because of a suggestion.
I brought them a print of a photo I took a few years ago. The staff at All About Art were very friendly, thoughtful and patient. In fact, it probably took 45 minutes to choose the right mat and frame. A friend took in another print and had the same experience. We were equally pleased with the work.
Later I took in a previusly-​framed photo to be re-​matted, but it was not an easy job. The way in which the photo was affixed to the original mat introduced the possibility of the photo enduring permanent damage. I was amazed and relieved to learn that the surgery was a success. That is when I became a fan.
I have not done any critical price comparisons, but after having a lot of pieces framed over the last ten years, I believe that I have a realistic sense of framing costs. Based on my experience — and mostly in my home state — I believe that All About Art is generally comparable to other reputable frame shops.
In spite of the art, fixtures and accessories on display, the atmosphere is certainly not pretentious, in terms of the retail space itself or the staff. The shop is not conveniently located, but the All About Art staff have earned my trust and I’d rather not take unnecessary risks with invaluable artwork, for the sake of saving a few minutes of travel time. Their work is worth the trip.
